Absolutely delicious, as usual! This is a great place to grab breakfast or brunch. They are always busy, so it’s never a bad idea to call ahead to see if you can get on a waiting list. We waited about 15 minutes at 10 am on a Sunday, so not bad at all. I ordered the Latin skillet and substituted for veggie chorizo, and they did not do an up charge, which was awesome! They also have lots of gluten free options and even made the tiramisu pancakes gluten free for our friends, which was an added bonus! A final, extra bonus for us, was that the prices are very reasonable for a breakfast place. All around awesome experience!

Husband and I decided to try something new for breakfast the other day, and decided to try Era for the first time. I was impressed from walking in to leaving! The building is stunning the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming! We were greeted right away. And seated. Our waitress was a super sweet Hispanic woman she was so funny and personable I wish I would have got her name! She made the experience that much better! We ordered macchiatos and I Ordered the breakfast bagel with the side of hashbrowns and my husband ordered the era omelette with breakfast potatoes… We both gave the food a 10 out of 10 not only did it come out super quick, but it was the perfect temperature. The perfect flavor and the presentation was gorgeous as well.!! I usually don’t go so in depth with my reviews, but this place was a 10 out of 10 hands-down!! It was a little expensive, but we also have a large family so we don’t have much for funds to begin with, But you get what you pay for and that is such a true statement with this place! We will definitely be coming back. I just wish it could be sooner.!! Delicious!

We’re from Appleton and had come to visit Rib Mountain and make a day of it in the Wausau area. We searched ‘highly-rated brunch spots’ in Wausau, and Era Cafe popped up. They are very deserving of the high rating: the food was delicious, the portions were substantial, the service was excellent, and the vibe was warm and inviting. We arrived around 12:30, and it was busy, which is to be expected on a beautiful Saturday–but the wait wasn’t bad at all (I think we were seated within 15 minutes of giving our name). I had the ham, gruyere, and onion egg skillet with a side pancake that I shared with my boyfriend— I highly recommend it all! The pancake was so fluffy and delicious. My boyfriend had the Era omelette with double fruit (instead of toast or pancake since we shared mine) and said it was delicious. We will absolutely be back the next time we’re in Wausau.

First time here with 2 friends and we were very pleased. They were very busy, but still managed to get us in within 10 minutes. The waitress and staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and enough for 2 to share or take home leftovers for another meal at home.

First time at Era Cafe. My server was friendly, prompt and open when asked for suggestions. I ordered the red quinoa bowl with shrimp. My food came out fast! So delicious! Just the right amount of food. Fresh ingredients. Shrimp was seasoned perfectly. This would have been 5 stars but I didn’t care for the pineapple juice used for my mimosa. Overall, a must try place!

What a spot! Awesome menu with great choices you don’t see elsewhere. I’m a huge Benedict fan and they had all kinds of great options to choose. I was getting overwhelmed. My wife got the sweet potato beef hash and it was great. Great food, awesome place to sit down for breakfast, and kind service. We took lemon ricotta pancakes to go and they were also so good! One of the top breakfast places we’ve been to!

I wasn’t so sure about trying Era again. The last time I went there was when they first opened and I received my dish with a big hair in it. They replaced the meal but I was still very put off by this.
I have not eaten at Era ever since. I thought about giving them another chance so we celebrated our anniversary with brunch.
We arrived around noon and it was still pretty busy. It seems like they are always busy and there is no real “slow” period.
We had to wait for a table but was only a 5 minute wait for the two of us. The waitress was very polite and upbeat which made the experience more enjoyable.
I ordered the Nashville chicken & waffle and the girlfriend ordered the country fried steak. We also order the mimosa flight; the pineapple was our favorite. The order came decently fast for how busy it was.
The food was amazing. The potatoes with the country fried steak were incredible. It was a good sized steak with a good amount of gravy; the perfect ratio of meat to gravy. The chicken and waffles were very good. I liked that the hot sauce came on the side. The waffle itself had very good flavor. The breaded chicken was cut into strips and there was a lot of chicken provided. The combo of the sweet waffle with the spicy chicken really hit the spot.
I would say that Era changed my mind from my first experience. We had an enjoyable and delicious meal – we will be back.

My server Daisy H was fantastic. Helpful, friendly, and fast. The food was tasty and well prepared. I was at first expecting to feel cramped due to the time of day for a breakfast restaurant but the layout was well designed and never felt uncomfortable. Excellent customer service. Waitperson was very attentive. Delicious decaf and regular coffee. The pancakes were delicious and huge! The French Toast was very good. Nice, warm maple syrup is served.
