The prices were higher than I expected ($16-$20) for breakfast entrees in rural Wisconsin. I mean, this is what I’m paying in the Twin Cities. If you’re charging that much the quality, flavors and portions have to be there, and it just wasn’t. It was okay, I’d describe it as just “good,” but when you factor in the cost and portion sizes it really brings Era down to “meh.”

I got the Meat Lovers Skillet with a Pancake that was $17. I was surprised at the prices at first but a skillet with a large Pancake made it a pretty good price! Pancake was a cake batter which was delicious and the meat lovers skillet was well portioned! Best breakfast I’ve had in a really long time! And the staff was very kind.

This place is so good!! My family and I go camping annually in this area and for a treat, we go here for breakfast. The service was so good and the servers are so so sweet and kind, and the food is so unbelievably good. Here’s a few photos of my food and experience. Take it from me, a picky teenage eater, the Era café is one of the best places to go for breakfast in the area, and my favorite restaurant.

I happened to stop at ERA today for their famous Biscuits and sausage gravy …OUTSTANDING…my server was “Mel and Jersey” it was perfect.. very fast service by both, they both asked me several times if I needed anything, and they made sure my food was done the way I liked it. ERA is always clean and very nice place to eat. All the staff is wonderful! I’ll be back and be glad to leave a large tip because of Mel and Jersey…next time I’ll try the meat lovers skillet

Excellent breakfast! Went on Labor day weekend and it was slammed. Hostess said 15 minute wait and it was only around 10. Cool email notification that shows your waiting time and place in the queue. Employees really hustled and checked back with us frequently. Ordered the cold smoked lox benedict and the berry blast french toast. Both were 5 star +. Will definitely stop there again.

Very friendly staff. Portions were huge! My wife had a gluten free pancake, she said it was the best she’s ever had at a restaurant! Prices are very reasonable. The mimosa flight was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Was quickly seated. Waitress was amazing. She was waiting on literally half the of the café and keeping drinks filled and keeping everyone happy. Very clean establishment. Very northwoods cozy with lots of seating. Food was hot and delicious! Syrup was served hot in a very heavy glass bottle and stayed hot for well over 20 minutes! Very beautiful presentation of the plated food as well! Perfect sized portions for the price. Will definitely try and come back the next time I’m in the area and excited to bring others with!
