The staff was very patient with me as I perused the menu and asked questions. Went with the special, The Eppy. Great decision… cannot begin to describe how amazing this sandwich was… the flavors were heavenly and the meat was so tender. The homemade pickles were so unique.
Thank you for making my visit to NJ complete!!!

coming from Willowbrook Mall heading to East Hanover wanted to find a Jewish deli. Have a cold. I want a matzoh ball soup and something with pastrami. To start with the prices are Super high and you don’t get what you pay for. I ordered what was called a turkey pastrami sandwich. What I was hoping for is a sandwich which was half turkey and half pastrami. At the very least turkey that has pastrami flavor. Instead I got a big pile of turkey on rye bread with a few cold slices of Swiss, which I paid 250 extra for. I think that description is very deceiving. I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner and he told me that Turkey pastrami is just one meat all turkey… I was flabbergasted. I said that makes no sense. he said it would never have been that price if pastrami was on the sandwich. I’m like oh so it would’ve been more than $23 for a sandwich if it had pastrami on it, I said I don’t feel well and I’m not coming back to to your store . He did not try to make amends or anything just said oh sorry. And there I am $50 later with noodle soup with some matzo balls and a pile of turkey on thin rye bread. Sorry, I don’t consider that a good experience first or otherwise.

Very tasty food, good selection of food. The robot delivering the food is also quite funny. Will be coming back for sure!

Always a great experience. The pastrami Reuben was outstanding—flavor, quality, everything on point. I accidentally overpaid ($50), and the owner personally walked the cash out to my car to return it. That kind of honesty and customer care is rare. Food is incredible, people are even better. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for old fashioned Jewish deli style food this is one of the best options around. Glad they’re back to giving out the coleslaw and pickles. Dining area has recently been redecorated. Looks much better. The food is pricey but if you like corned beef, pastrami and chopped liver it’s great. We usually order the steak fries too. I give it 5 stars cause there are so few places like this around anymore and we always make a special trip to eat here. They have many classic options like matzo ball soup. You will love it.

I’ve been a regular customer at this deli for many years, and it’s disappointing to see how much things have changed. Over time, the portions have become noticeably smaller while the prices have continued to rise. After about a year away, I recently returned and was shocked by what I found.
The turkey sandwich I ordered — a very simple one with just turkey and mustard — cost $25 and was the smallest sandwich I’ve ever received here. While the quality and freshness were fine, the value simply isn’t there anymore. The portion size no longer matches the premium pricing, and that’s a real letdown for long-time customers who remember what this place used to offer.
It’s frustrating to see a once-great neighborhood deli lose touch with reasonable pricing and portion balance. I left feeling disappointed and won’t be returning. For anyone considering stopping in, be aware that the prices are extremely high compared to the portions you’ll get.

Haven’t been here in quite a few years. Not sure why because we live around the block. Food and service were excellent. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but the quality of the food is top notch! Plan to visit more often.

In my opinion, the absolute best, freshest and most delicious Jewish-style delicatessen/restaurant around. Their soups, sandwiches, potato pancakes, and even their pickles, coleslaw and rye bread, are the very best around. Clearly, with regards to their hot corned beef and pastrami, they melt in your mouth like butter, and they are not fatty. The staff are always highly attentive and respectful, all of the food (across the board) is worth driving almost 40 minutes for. Only one slight negative (which isn’t really valid or applicable in this day & age) is that the prices are a bit high. But not higher than Katz deli in New York City… You get what you pay for, and if you’re ok spending $90+ for two adults, all-in (with tip included), then you could eat very well here. In other words, if someone could tell me a better Jewish-style deli/restaurant in New Jersey, I wish they would, because it doesn’t exist. The owner, Josh, is a super-nice guy who seems to take a great deal of pride into making sure his customers are 100% happy & satisfied. Enthusiastically recommended, 5-stars, and A+++++

I have not been here in YEARS. My parents took us here for the first time when we were kids and I had to check it out again since I was in the area. I remember the pastrami sandwiches being amazing and it did not disappoint. Sandwich was amazing (I took it to go) and they took extra effort to package up the pickles (another fave) and the mustard separately so I could enjoy it later. Picked up a knish too which was also fantastic. Highly recommend!

First time carrying out and trying it here and loved the food. Seriously, it’s fresh, authentic and brought back childhood memories. But, yes, it’s expensive. I wouldn’t have had an issue with price except I was a little bummed that my order included $22 of Matzo Ball soup and it only came with two balls. Womp womp… I’ll chalk it up to them being slammed for the holiday and give them another try soon!
