We are so glad we tried them out. Staff is nice. Food is excellent. Loved their Greek dressing. I had the mousaka, which I loved. Their little cheese triangles are amazing

First time visiting Epicurian, though I had passed by many times and it always seemed very busy. 4 of us had a short wait for a table at about 6pm. We were seated within 10 minutes. It took another 30+ minutes for the waitress to even take our drink order. When she finally acknowledged us, we went straight or ordering dinner and drinks at the same time. From order time to getting our beverages was another 30 minutes and food came 22 minutes after that. We only saw 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant.

Food was OK. Pork chops were good. Veal Parmesan was ground beef or veal patties (like hamburger) and not cutlets as the menu said. The patties were breaded, fried, topped with Italian cheese and some marinara. A little pasta on the side with a bit more marinara.

On a whim, I also bothered the jello salad for $10. It was cute, but I won’t do that again. Some cherry jello cubes with a little canned peaches and pear chunks on a piece of lettuce.

The Roast Beef Salad was an iceberg salad with some cold lunch meat on top. Made me laugh.

Prices are low. Get the pork chops and don’t be in a hurry. We joked that you can go there if you’re not hungry, because you will be by the time you finally eat. 🙂

Epicurean Restaurant has been in East Ridge for many years. They have great food, good prices and excellent service. I would eat here regularly if I lived in ER. If you plan on giving the Epicurean a try, remember that they close at 7pm. I believe they close at 6pm on Sunday, so go early for dinner. I highly recommend the Epicurean Restaurant and encourage you to try it. You won’t be disappointed

Food doesn’t have a lot of taste, bland. Server was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Went twice many years ago and thought it was terrible. Now, after 20 years we happened to be in the neighborhood so my husband said “since they’re still open maybe it’s gotten better” – so we stopped. Don’t get the seafood platter- – nothing “fresh “ about it. My “trout” looked like a banana! Shrimp was soggy and limp. Awful. A lot of people refer to it as the “old folks home”. I am old, but I still have taste.

When I heard we were going to a place called The Epicurean that served prime rib I expected something a little more chi chi. But the restaurant was nice, clean, a little Tarantino ’70s chic, the food was good (the shrimp was a little rough), and the service was impeccable.

I have never in my life been mistreated by any staff , or manger , or even the OWNER as bad as me and my Family did after church today! They tried to overcharge us for one, and when asked about it they Slammed the ticket down and then when I signed the receipt she threw it at me then she yelled at me while people are eating and mocking me and Throwing her hands up all while my kids are watching this! The owner went off on us and told us we need to get the bill straight before coming to the register, he is the rudest most hateful old man ever! We have been coming here since I can remember I will NEVER step foot back in this restaurant and you don’t treat people like that you never know what someone is going through!!! This has ruined my day and they should be shut down for this kind of behavior the man is always rude and unhappy!!! So unless you want your bill $130 and we all got the same thing, then don’t come here!!!!!

Today was a first for me! Their Service is horrible – and the Manager the Blonde and the owner are the rudest people to be in a Restaurant industry! She yelled at my girlfriend and all while our kids were standing there over a hill that was incorrect if you want to be charged for close to $130 then this is the place to eat and be talked too and yelled and she even threw the receipt down at her while making faces and then laughing at her while her 4 year old asked her why she is yelling at her and we left a tip and she said yeah well don’t come back you don’t tip well anyways while pointing her fingers at us! I do NOT recommend eating in this old nursing home style type environment no wonder there was 5 families in there today and we needed to split the bill up and the owner yelled and slammed down his writing said next time you split the bill before you pay at the register this won’t happen next time rudest mafia looking man I’ve ever seen I don’t see how he is in business with the way he treats people like they did today we won’t be back they treat their customers like Garbage this isn’t the first time or incident has happened with others before! Their slaw was made with mustard and it was pure yellow and disturbing , the mashed potatoes tasted like Pumpkin PIE!!!! Macaroni was cold and the atmosphere was just not good overall! They need to be closed for good or have someone else run this business! I do not recommend eating this place good luck if you do will be posting the video soon

It was amazing. The rice and gravy had tons of flavor. The chicken and dressing had the right amount of dressing, gravy, and tender chicken to go with it. You could cut it with a fork. The yams could have used a little more love. A little more brown sugar, vanilla, and butter would have taken them to the next level. The roast beef would be great on a sandwich. It was very tender. The cornbread had the right balance of savory, light, and sweetness. The greens had a meaty flavor to them. A pinch of vinegar and they would have been perfect. The mashed potatoes had great texture to them. And last but not least, the rolls had the perfect amount of toast on them. They made them taste like my Mamaw used to cook them. I will definitely be back here.
