Autumn and the team were super attentive and very helpful as far as recommending dishes and making sure we were doing okay. The Epicure Filet Mignon was absolutely phenomenal and melts in your mouth. The Triggerfish (catch of the day) was very smooth and flavorful, but I would personally recommend lighter blackening (if you prefer not as much pepper). Great atmosphere and decor. It was a Friday night, so a bit of a wait, but definitely worth it.

I took our Alabama Leadership team here for dinner after our meeting. The eclectic decor, service and food were top notch! We had a great experience and will be back again. 7 of us split the Spinach artichoke dip and calamari appetizers and there were still leftovers. They were both delicious and the chips were a big hit with everyone. I had the 16 oz New York Strip, loaded potato and Great Northern White Beans. Amazing sear and seasoning on the perfectly cooked steak, delicious potato and seasoned beans were all perfect. Our server Autumn was very knowledgeable and attentive.

One of our FAVE restaurants! The management makes you feel like family. Tried the phenomenal Epicure Rib Eye tonight as featured on “America’s Best Restaurants” … it was DELICIOUS!!!! Met up with Amy and Rose (the wives of management ) to catch up! Go to their FB site and scroll down to Dec. 8 so you can see the video of the feature ABR ran on them, shows the meal we got AND the beautiful ambiance. Thank you David and Chef Glen for another beautiful meal and evening!

Phenomenal first experience!

We were warmly welcomed by the owner, David, who is absolutely delightful. The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and incredibly inviting—strongly family-rooted, which creates a truly personal and memorable dining experience.

The food was beautifully presented and absolutely extraordinary—made with real ingredients and heartfelt love in every recipe. I even met Chef T in the lobby and thanked him for truly putting the in ️

By the stunning 300-gallon fish tank, I met Amy, David’s wife. If you value family and genuine hospitality, this place will feel like home ❤️

We had PeeWee as our server for our large group, and he—along with his support staff—did an outstanding job from start to finish.

Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent food and service! Some of the best calamari I’ve eaten. We had a NY Strip and the low country bowl , both cooked to perfection. The side salad pictured was amazing with their house vinaigrette dressing. Charles was very attentive and provided great service and conversation.

This is a local favorite. Great atmosphere. I sat at the bar, they were busy. I ordered the ribeye steak, med rare. It came out medium. The beans were good. I do love the light fixtures.

In a world of arbitrary ratings, 5 stars can mean little.

Epicure and Jacks was excellent! Great food and great service, earning every star for this rating. If you are interested in a steakhouse this is a spot to check out. Shout out to Autumn the server, she paid careful attention of me and ensured I was taken care of.

I went for the early dinner service on Saturday and sat at the bourbon bar. The menu has changed some since my last visit; so I tried the potato wheels, gumbo, epicure style ribeye and got a tuxedo bomb to go. Asked the bartender to make a sidecar that was phenomenal! Bought a bottle of Gougenheim Malbec wine only cause it’s not sold by the glass. Service was on point!

Things of note: David (the guy in the sportcoats) greets everyone like family. I watched him seat people, run drinks, run food and interact with numerous tables! Mr. Glen did a walk through talking with folks about the food and menu recommendations. He helped the bourbon bar staff while keeping the kitchen putting out orders in a timely fashion!
The rest of the staff were more than attentive and backed up each other nicely to limit wait times on cocktails. Lastly, the busboy was asked by another patron why he left another establishment; it came down to “treatment”. He went onto say that the environment at Epicure is what he had been missing!

All in all there is something special about this place. The food has flare, cocktails are flavorful, and the people do an awesome job at making memorable experiences. I personally have enjoyed the change from buffet to a more fine dining approach!

I gave it 1 star cause I can’t select 0 stars. The food was awful. Very bland. The sodas and tea were nasty. Even the water tasted like soapy bath water. This place was gross when it was Fantail and it’s still just as gross now. They were extremely crowded but wouldnt open the outdoor section. The guy walking around (I think he’s the owner) changed his sport coat type jacket 7 or 8 times in less than an hour. I thought that was extremely weird. No need to flex those cheap sport coats. Let’s not even discuss the astronomical price of our meal. For that price, I could have bought the stuff and cooked it at home and fed the whole neighborhood. This was my first and last time ever going to eat here.

The only good review I really have is that the staff is nice and polite. That’s about it. Very very disappointed in this place.
