The tabooli was pretty salty, and the al raheb was ok, but not phenomenal. My husband got the salmon, and I got the beef tenderloin kabob. Our entrees were absolutely amazing! I gave it a five star even though service was slow and appetizers were meh because my husband says that’s the best salmon he’s ever had. The French press coffee was divine. The chocolate salted torte was also just incredible. The things that were good were so good that it made up for anything that wasn’t. Will definitely be back!

Epice is a stylish spot with fresh, flavorful Lebanese dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is well-curated, and everything I’ve tried has been tasty and nicely presented. Wait times can be a bit slow, but the service itself is friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid choice for a unique dining experience in Birmingham.

Hands down one of THE best restaurants in Birmingham. The staff delivered top notch service, the food was amazing, and the ambience was the perfect. Whether date night or large group, this is the place to do it.

Wonderful Lebanese restaurant – does not feel like Birmingham – immediately transported to a cool yet relaxed vibe with wood panels, marble bar & concrete floors. Nicole was a great bartender & knew the menu by heart. The pistachio lamb was delicious as was the hummus + meat app. The only food that could have been improved was the salmon was dry, and the cheese dessert was not my favorite – next time I’ll go with the olive oil cake! I will be back!

Loved a lot about this new restaurant! The atmosphere is cool, the menu is not overwhelming, and the mains were delicious.

I was not a big fan of the grape leaves; I’ve definitely had better. I wish they were more tart. The hummus was good, but I wouldn’t get it without the sirloin. We got the fatoush salad, which was a good salad but didn’t taste like a true fatoush. The mains come with basically the same thing too, so I wish we hadn’t ordered it. The tawook was DELICIOUS, so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The mishwe was cooked to the perfect temperature, in my opinion, but it needed a bit more seasoning. The fries and sauces that come with the mains were sooo good too. Kunafeh dessert was pretty good, I would order it again.

I think the menu is well-balanced but a bit overpriced for the portions. All in all, I’m very happy we finally get a Middle Eastern restaurant with a more upscale vibe. Birmingham definitely needed it.

I heard about this new restaurant earlier today and decided to try it out- it did not disappoint! The service was fast and the staff was super kind. I’m a big fan of the of Lebanese food. Everything tasted exceptional and very fresh. I forgot to take pictures of our desserts! We had the rice pudding (my favorite) and olive oil cake. This will be a restaurant in our regular rotation for sure. Pro tip: they have a Nashville location and you can look at the Nashville Epice reviews to see more photos of the food. So good!

Simply spectacular! Rare does a new restaurant exceed in all aspects! From the moment you enter, you are greeted by ownership and made to feel at home. That’s if your home was spectacularly designed, combining a contemporary atmosphere enhanced by warm wood and textures to balance the space. A lively atmosphere that evokes a great experience. The service… Superior in every way! The wait staff works in unison to ensure service is impeccable, while ensuring you feel like a honored guest. The food… The menu is a well curated balance of traditional Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes. It honors the standards and elevates the flavors. My Lebanese family was impressed with every dish. We filled the table with appetizers and entrees to get a wide-ranging experience of flavors. The appetizers gave a great entry into what was to come. The kibbie with its traditional spices and yogurt was delicious, a must order! Spinach fatayer, hummus Beyrouti and manoushi was as good as it gets. The entrees with traditional flavors but inventive at the same time gave a Lebanese fine dining experience. The lahm lamb meatballs were filled with spice and the accompanied rice and tomato ragu accentuated the dish. The Za’atar chicken was moist at full of flavor with the hashwe being a star also, my son hardly left bites for the rest of us. My wife’s favorite was the lamb shank with white bean cassoulet. It was tender, full of flavor and one of the best lamb dishes we had ever eaten. Desert.. The olive oil cake, was beautifully prepared, substantial and light at the same time with a wonderful blueberry compote, so satisfying. Oh the Knafeh!!! As good as it gets. Airy, cheesy and with such a wonderful orange blossom water flavor. Most Lebanese grandmothers would be proud to put forth such a dish.

I firmly recommend you eat family style. Order multiple appetizers and entrees so everyone can taste the Superior flavors of Epice and Lebanon.

Needless to say, the entire experience could not have been any better, The only thing better is knowing that we now have this restaurant in Birmingham to frequent often and bring our family and friends. Great job to my new Epice family and welcome to Birmingham.

We did not have reservations and were seated at the bar. It was comfortable and the bartender Nicole provided excellent service and information about the menu. Food was very good and authentic. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Even the drinks and wine choices were unique.

The manager Frank even pitched in when it got busy making sure we had everything we needed and our water glass full. We will definitely go back!

We had a pleasant dinner here. The atmosphere is cozy with stylish design and comfortable seating. We were seated at a small table tucked behind the bar rather than in the main eating area which turned out to feel perfectly private. The food was pleasing- two favorites were the lamb meatballs and stuffed grape leaves.
Definitely make a reservation- we arrived for ours at 6:00 and there were already many people waiting.
