An amazing little Italian bakery in an unlikely spot in Eliot, Maine. We stopped in for a couple of sweet treats on Valentine’s Day, and were thankful we did. We experienced a bit of a wait to place our order, but the staff was helpful, and despite it being later in the day, we still had a good selection of options to choose from. We tried the Pistachio Ricotta Cake & a chocolate-covered cannoli. The cake was delicious – not too sweet, and the added crunch of fresh pistachios rounded it all together. The bakery also offered lunch options, including pizza and sandwiches. If we are ever in the area again, we will be sure to pick up some sweets to share.

First time trying this popular gem. My friend and I decided to take a trip to try this highly rated Italian bakery. I had a freshly made egg plant Parm sandwich on focaccia bread, it was absolutely amazing. And for dessert I purchased the raspberry limoncello cake, 2 cannolis (1 dipped in chocolate,1 plain), and a blueberry donut. The ambiance of this place is rustic and homey. Cannot wait to go back.

Cozy spot with amazing Italian pastries and great coffee.
First time at Enzo Benzo and I was blown away by the variety—donuts (raised and cake), cannoli, ricotta cake, lobster tails, cookies, croissants, stromboli, and more. We tried the pistachio cannoli, cannoli donut, profiterole, and stromboli—all delicious. Coffee was solid, service was excellent, and the vibe was homey. Everything looked so good, it was hard to choose!

So happy to have a new close to us donut & breakfast shop! Quick & convenient place to stop before sports, very friendly staff and convenient parking. The breakfast sandwiches and donuts were a big hit. The seating inside would be such a nice coffee date spot, it is spacious and super cute, I highly recommend!!

First time at Enzo’s today and everything we had was so good! We got the pepperoni Stromboli/focaccia (not sure the exact name of the dish) and 5 different donuts to try – the maple filled, lemon curd filled, pistachio filled, chocolate hazelnut filled, and the old-fashioned glazed. We will definitely be back to try more of the donuts and can’t wait to try desserts from the pastry case as well. Everyone was so friendly there and they were PACKED! You always know a place is worth stopping if there’s a line, but they move quickly through it!

I have been waiting for a good classic Italian bakery in the Seacoast for years and Enzo benzo perfectly fits the bill. Their focaccia is chewy and flavorful with just the right amount of olive oil and spice. The roast beef sandwich is perfection. I’ve actually never had a better one. For extra touches, you can get classic pastries, breakfast sandwiches with capricola and even a great coffee— Espresso or drip, and hand made chips. If I still lived next-door, I would be here every day. The ambience is adorable and would be great for a coffee with a friend or a work meeting. I’m so happy for a vacant storefront to be blossoming into such a wonderful community space with great food! Go check it out.

Has anyone made it over to Enzo Benzo Specialty Donuts in Eliot, ME?
If not, drop everything and go—trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
I think I walked into actual heaven today. I was surrounded by Italian sweets, gelato, focaccia, pizza, and stromboli… and immediately frozen with indecision. Sweet? Savory? Sweet and savory?? My brain short-circuited.
Naturally, I went with both.
For the savory: a stromboli special that dreams are made of—pillowy dough wrapped around savory ham, served with a side of creamy ricotta and topped with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. I mean…come on.
For the sweet treat: a blueberry donut with lavender. Lightly sweet and beautifully fragrant, it was almost too pretty to eat…almost!
I also grabbed a cold brew to keep me grounded (because I was basically levitating from joy at this point).
Full disclosure: I had every intention of bringing the food home to share. That was the plan. But then…I took a little bite of the stromboli…and the next thing I knew, it was gone. Vanished. Just me and a very happy stomach.
The cherry on top? The staff! So kind, welcoming, and patient with my wildly indecisive self. They walked me through all the options and made the whole experience even better.
Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back. Too many goodies, too little time.

The food and staff were the absolute best! We got an apple jam donut and cinnamon roll and they were delicious! Not too sweet and there was so much sweet and tart apple jam stuffed inside the donut. Definitely will be coming here again! We are looking forward to trying some savory menu items.

Great Italian place for breakfast or lunch. Amazing baked goods. Atmosphere inside is a little dark but open and airy. You can also sit at tables outside. They were short staffed by two but the service was still excellent. Be prepared to wait in line in the weekend. It’s that good

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Not only are the donuts, focaccia, rainbow cookies, and everything else absolutely to die for, but Tina, her husband, and their amazing staff are incredibly kind and wonderful to deal with. Their passion for what they do truly shines through in every bite. My family and I are so grateful that they share their incredible gift with the community. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out—highly recommend stopping by!
