I recently had dinner at this Italian restaurant, and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant — dim lighting, soft music, and a charming rustic décor that perfectly captured the spirit of Italy.
We started with the bruschetta and calamari, both incredibly fresh and flavorful. The tomatoes tasted like they were just picked, and the calamari was perfectly crisp without being greasy. For the main course, I had the seafood linguine, and it was divine — the pasta was cooked al dente, the sauce rich and balanced, and the seafood generous and tender. My partner ordered the veal parmigiana, which was equally outstanding, covered in a smooth, delicious marinara and melted cheese.
The service was flawless throughout the evening. Our server was attentive but never intrusive, offering excellent wine recommendations that paired beautifully with our meals. Even the timing of each course was perfect — everything arrived hot and fresh.
To finish, we shared a slice of tiramisu that was light, creamy, and the ideal sweet ending to a wonderful meal.

The food was enjoyable overall, with generous portion sizes that definitely left us satisfied. The bruschetta stood out as a highlight; the bread was soft yet had a nice crisp to it, and the balance of flavours was well done. The sauce on the lasagna and manicotti, felt like it was missing a little something. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what, but it could have used a touch more depth or seasoning to really bring it together. As a pasta lover, I found it both awesome and hilarious that one page of the menu said “Pasta” and the next said “More Pasta.” You can’t go wrong with that kind of enthusiasm.
Inside, the restaurant feels a bit dated, but there’s a warmth and coziness to the space that makes it a cute and comfortable spot for a relaxed family meal. It was quite busy during our visit, with a pleasant buzz throughout the evening, which is always a good sign. The tables are well spaced, so even with the crowd, it didn’t feel cramped or too noisy. There’s a private room off to the right when you enter; where a party was taking place. I loved that they had that separate space. Whatever was happening in there didn’t affect the vibe in the main dining area, which I really appreciated. Service was friendly and attentive, though it did feel a bit rushed at times. Our server was knowledgeable, offering thoughtful suggestions and checking in regularly, which we really appreciated.

The BEST service ever! And don’t even get me started with the food! I love a good pasta and not many people can nail it, the way Italians do it is pure magic and that’s why it’s my favourite cuisine in the world! I wish I could have complimented the chef in person! I ate it so slow out of fear of finishing it so soon, then I saw my bf do the same!! Now mind you he is a fast eater. And to top it off It was our two year anniversary and they were so sweet to surprise us with an ice cream dessert!! This is my favourite place to eat! Now I feel bad I didn’t take any pictures of the pasta!!

We dined at Ennio’s in Waterloo for the first time last weekend (Sunday) for dinner. We are an Italian family, travelling frequently to Italy, with a strong Italian heritage. As Italians, we enjoyed our experience and the food at Ennio’s. Very close to authentic Italian — the sauce was delicious, very similar to my Nonna’s homemade recipe! Ask any Italian, the sauce is what makes or breaks a dish and Ennio’s sauce is great.
What did we try? To start we had the Pazzo Bread & Arancini, both were delicious. Our party of five tried pastas: Nonna’s Gnocchi, Annabella, Bettola, and Rustica; and the Risotto Alla Florentine. All were delicious. Portions were very large. The only personal complaint was for me, the dish was way too “saucy” … I was going to ask for less sauce (as I saw photos from other reviews) and forgot. Aside from that, we truly enjoyed our meal.
Great service, rustic Italian ambience, authentic Italian pastas.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ennio’s last Friday. The staff were friendly and attentive even though it was a full house. The food was incredible as always and we left full, with leftovers for later. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Nice place for Italian food. It was a busy day on a sleepy Wednesday. Even though the place was half empty they were understaffed and we waited long to be served. There was clear chaos but the staff tried to be as cheerful as possible.
The food was very good and made up for the slow service.
Overall we had a good time and will definitely try them again. Hopefully on a better day.

Ennio’s Pasta House exceeded all our expectations. The pizza and pasta were absolutely incredible — rich, authentic flavors and perfectly prepared. We chose this place to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience from start to finish.

To start, the service was amazing from start to finish! We were seated quickly and our server constantly checked in with us. They were knowledgeable with the menu and offered us recommendations. We got the truffle potato wedges which were amazing. They were crispy, not too salty, and the truffle aioli took it to the next level. The pizza was hot and fresh with a tasty crust. The lasagna was also made well and all the food was filling. Would definitely come back and try their other menu items!
