Endza’s is an interesting little eatery at the four corners of NY Routes 5 & 20 and NY 15 east of Avon. I wouldn’t call it a restaurant, it’s more of a simple roadside food shack. “Chef” Endza, as he refers to himself, is a gruff, salty personality who passionately serves generous portions of smoked BBQ chicken, pulled pork, fried shrimp dinners and Friday fish fry.
Typically, there is only one main offering on any given night with a limited choice of sides like salt potatoes, potato wedges and Cole slaw. Drinks are whatever cans of soda he happens to have in the fridge. He keeps it simple. If you’re looking for fancy amenities this isn’t it. Your dinner will be served in a Styrofoam takeout container with plastic utensils and a single napkin. Inside and outside seating is limited. Most get their dinners to go.
But the food is served hot, is good tasting, and the best value around. For example a large fresh, never frozen, Friday Fish Fry with two sides is only $10.

Fish fry dinner is mid. Value is there but sacrificed for quality. Friendly staff. Not somewhere I would eat in at as cleanliness isn’t a top priority nor does it seem like it’s encouraged. (Tables had supplies on them and a bag of potatoes was sitting on a seat.) Mom ‘n Pop/hole in the wall vibe. There’s a fair share of regulars but this doesn’t itch my scratch when I’m looking for a good fish fry.

Best food I’ve had in years from a take out place!! Yes the owner is a one of a kind guy and a firm believe to himself but, I promise you’ll never find a better fish fry or chicken bbq around. Plus he makes all of his own sides. His pulled pork is amazing and his chili is the best!! Maybe the place could use a little TLC but, it also has the best food for great prices. I will keep returning 🙂

7/29/22 Fish Fry was recommend by a friend. Highly disappointed. Fish was the darkest brown from dirty fryer oil. Tasted like dirty fryer oil. Two bites, I threw the entire meal out. The “Chef” was dirty with zero personality. Restaurant hasn’t been cleaned in years.
$14 dollars wasted.

Super-huge piece of fish breaded and fried crispy dark. Greasy french fried logs served from a dirty cardboard box. $12 a plate not unreasonable, but based on cleanliness alone, not a place to try twice. For a Friday fish fry takeout try the Moose lodge in Henrietta. It has a way better taste, a variety of broiled and fried fish, potato options (including sweet potato fries!) and twice the value for the same money.

This is a grab and go style eatery. Endza is an interesting character who was very kind to my daughter by asking her many questions and making her laugh. I read other reviews who were not a fan of him but I liked him a lot. He’s a rougher around the edges kind of guy and is exactly what you would expect to find in Livingston county. Remember folks, this isn’t Pittsford…
The food was an excellent deal and I was able to feed my family of four with food left over for under $40 while eating the most INCREDIBLE fish fry I have ever had. I like to think I know my fish frys being Catholic and this one blew me away.
The meals were $12 each and there is one main offering. The meals come with a choice of two out of four different sides. Potato wedges, coleslaw, baked beans, or salt potatoes are the side options.
The restaurant is Cash Only and there is an ATM across the street at the gas station if you need it.
This is not a fancy restaurant at all and I love it this way.

They are rude. Place is dirty. Rolls smell and taste like chemicals.
Decent size piece of good fish. Tarter sauce is good as well as the slaw. Potato wedges were good other than you only get maybe 5 wedges.

When we went inside to order, we saw that the place inside was so filthy we didn’t feel comfortable eating inside, so had to take our meal outside. Then the proprietor came up to us as we ate on the outside picnic tables, and was so shockingly, unbelievably & extremely rude that I actually felt threatened. His actions and attitude led me to believe that it was possible he was drunk. Because of the way he yelled at us, we actually had to leave in the middle of our meal, taking our take-out containers with us & driving off. (In addition, the bathrooms, besides being uncomfortably dirty, also did not have doors that shut, much less lock.) I’ve never written a bad review in my life, as I want to support small businesses and give people the benefit of the doubt. But in this case, this just crossed the line. I know this sounds unbelievable, but it was an unbelievable experience that I hope is not repeated. Please don’t give this place your business and encourage the proprietor to treat people this way.

Where do I start! The place is filthy when you walk in. Who ever the dude is that does the cooking in there is messed up. He treats customers like he is doing you the favor of making it for you even though you are paying him for that service!! He is the rudest SOB. I felt like I was in the back woods somewhere. The dude outside is better but not by much. I have know idea why they are doing this because they seem like you are putting them out that you are patronizing them. I really could not believe what jerks they are. The BBQ chicken was ok at best and the sides were not that good either. Look for another place that you will actually enjoy.

For a place I was actually excited to try after all the times I’ve driven by it I will never return even if the food is ok. The way we were treated was obscene and truly leads me to believe the employees may be bipolar. After receiving our food we had originally planned to take out however I needed to eat the drumstick to properly close the box. After taking a few bites seated outside I needed a quick something to wash it down before we left. I had a cup filled with ice and about two sips of water from my house in my truck. Retreated to grab it and then sat back down. This is when the owner completely lost his mind telling me I couldn’t drink the water. Thinking the guy was joking I brushed it off but, he was dead serious. I reminded him that I just spent $20 on food and it shouldn’t be that big of a deal to which he proclaimed he ” gave me $40 worth of food for $20.” Honestly a puzzling way to run a business if your food costs are double what your charging. You lost customers over water buddy a .25 water. Just avoid this place at all costs.
