Encore Bistro Francais was opened in March 2000 in Larchmont, NY. David Masliah, the owner of this cozy French Bistro, is originally from Lyon, France. He chose Larchmont because of the bustling downtown area and the absence of any French restaurants. Larchmont is also home to a very large French community. I ordered steak and french fries Saturday and my steak came out lukewarm and fries was slightly burnt and not fresh. My girl had pasta and her food came out hot. She said it was good. The waitress was nice, but didn’t want an awkward moment so when she came over and asked me how everything was, I said it was good even though it wasn’t. Iive local but I wouldn’t go back.

Love coming here with my wife for Tartare Wednesday’s with a nice bottle of white wine. Never been disappointed. Each time we try a new appetizer this time it was the grilled calamari and bone marrow both excellent.

Encore is a pillar in the Larchmont community. They are my go to French restaurant in the area and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for some steak or cooked seafood.
More about my visit: I had the appetizers of the gnocchi and white wine mussels which were delicious and served to perfection. My main course was a special item, which was cooked white fish with some toppings on the side which was also very good. I also tried some of my table mates steak which was quite delicious. I had the crème boule for desert and it’s the first time I’ve ever had one; what I learned is they are delicious . Overall the experience was great and I’d highly recommended this to anyone who wants French food or just wants to have a relaxing meal in the Larchmont area-ML

I discovered this restaurant through my girlfriend, who lives nearby and recommended it to me. We’ve been here several times, and while the food, service, and ambiance are all decent, they don’t particularly stand out. It’s a solid choice if you’re in the area, but nothing extraordinary.

Always delicious. Have been coming here for a decade, the quality and service has never dipped. The steak frites is to die for, go for medium rare (o go for blue cheese dipping sauce, but can get peppercorn or wine), the escargot are seasoned and prepped supremely well. Has good variation of wine, champagne, and beer as well.
Service is always great, friendly staff ready to provide recommendations.
Always a strong recommendation, do call ahead for dinner for reservations, it tends to get very busy.

The chicken pot pie is served in a little pot and covered by a golden color thin pie. It is plenty enough for one person and very filling.

The eggs and garlic sausage for brunch was very bad. The sausage was very dry and edible. We didn’t get the chance to say anything as we were in a rush but would not recommend.
