I’m going to give my honest review I was craving some chilaquiles for breakfast and I haven’t been in this restaurant ever since they change ownership. I got a chilaquiles dish and look very delicious I got red and green sauce with carne asada. The green ones were okay. But the red ones not at all needs more like an authentic homemade sauce they where just not good at all and the carne asada was very tender but need it more seasoning. Overall the service was great Marisol was very attentive. Next time I will try something different but chilaquiles is not the right place.

This morning, I had breakfast at El Encanto (El Picante previous location) a New Mexican restaurant, and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was top-notch. I’ll be back. Support small small businesses!

This spot has potential but needs work. First off, I was given a dirty cup. So that kind of killed the vibe. Plus, there is old furniture visible in the seating areas. Seating areas and tables seem a bit dirty. But I will say, the chilaquiles were alright, and our server was nice and respectable. Won’t be coming here again.

Food is decent. Service is..well, there. Don’t expect great. Cleanliness and presentation are out the door.
The place looks like a warehouse that has tables in case you are hungry. Storage is incorporated into the eating experience which is mind blowing. The place is run down and dilapidated.
If you need a fix..I guess. I always try to keep it positive but this place was a challenge…sorry

The last time I ate at this restaurant was when it was still called El Picante back in 1999. I remembered what a great family restaurant this was. Today (2025), passing through Bell Gardens, we decided to eat there.
It has changed ownership and is now called Encanto.
The food was as great as it was in 1999! Best ice tea in all of Bell Gardens!
If your in the area, you can’t go wrong. Supper friendly staff!

Highly recommend. Wish i would have took more pics but i will be back sooon. Handmade tortillas and delicious cafe de olla. I had green chilaquiles and they were so good.
