Great little Nicaraguan restaurant with great service and delicious food.
Very attentive staff, Vanessa and Aracely were very friendly and helpful from the moment we entered the place.
We ordered The Mix plate and it was very tasty.
For sure we will be back soon!
We stop again on our way to the beach area.
The food still delicious as the first time we visited.
Service is excellent as usual.
Tasty Nicaraguan cuisine for sure!

The food isn’t what I’d call Nicaraguan. I heard about this place and was so excited to try it because I missed Nicaraguan food so much. I came with high hopes. The queso frito did not squeak and if you know Nicaraguan fried cheese, you know it’s got a squeak. It was obvious it was not made fresh and instead frozen and then heated up for serving. It was so bad and I think the server knew it because they comped it on our bill and apologized about it, I didn’t even complain, she just said she’d comp it because it was “not a good piece” ‍♀️

Tostones were twice fried and served like they had been previously frozen and then fried frozen.

It tasted like they were catering to the community they’re in by changing some of the recipes up. I can’t fault them for that, but then I’d hope they’d say they were Nicaraguan fusion or something. The cacao was good. The tajadas weren’t great and there was no chilito. The Nicaraguan cabbage salad (ensalada criolla) was not vinegary at all. It was just cut cabbage and was missing the classic flavors of Nicaragua. I was really hopeful for this place, but it was a big miss.

Now, if you’re looking for a solid meal that is not Nicaraguan, then give this place a try. It’s a mix of Peruvian and Mexican flavors and it’s decent.

Food Order:
Pollo de Crema Jalapeño (chicken filet, Nicaraguan-style Jalapeno cream sauce, avocado, house rice, salad, tajadas), Unico Hibisco (hibiscus tea)

Encanta Latin Grill, a hidden gem taking over the former Country Burger, serves Nicaraguan cuisine. I was hangry for some different & ELG popped up when I did a “hot & new” search.

There wasn’t much posted & no website, so I was grateful for Harrison Y’s menu pics. I ordered the Pollo de Crema Jalapeño with a Unico Hibisco, & given a 20-min. pick-up time. I arrived a couple minutes early & waited another 10-mins; not sure of the delay since there’s no other customers except a pair of guys halfway through lunch.

The return trip to the office was quick so my lunch was still piping hot (temperature). The plate’s serving was generous & that jalapeño cream sauce sounded & looked interesting, but didn’t have too much chili heat. The Unico Hibisco offers a refreshing balance of sweet & tart to offset the heaviness of the chicken & cream sauce. I loved the tajadas (fried plantains), crisp crust & soft sweet banana interior. I ate the house salad first as it doesn’t pair well with the entrée & other side. The sauce is absorbed by the rice as well as adding flavor… nom, nom, nom. The Pollo de Crema Jalapeño tantalizes your palate with tender, savory, creamy goodness!

It’s a concentrated menu with offerings for all meal times: breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Price points are fair? I don’t have other local Nicaraguan restaurants for comparison, but the serving was generous so I had leftovers for a second meal. The dining room is spacious with mostly 2- & 4-tops. While there’s no signage, you can’t missed the bright light orange building with bright blue shingled roof. Since it’s not a shared space, there’s plenty of parking available no matter the time of day.

Service is friendly & accommodating, but there’s a slight communication gap due to their soft opening (my review is delayed… I dined here last May) & POS system set-up.

My first Nicaraguan venture & it was magnificent… run, don’t walk to Encanta Latin Grill!

Recommended: Pollo de Crema Jalapeño (get this yumminess!) & Unico Hibisco.

I mean the food was okay, it wasn’t particularly speical. Quite a bit of wasn’t good, and was rather sweet. My family ordered the fritanga with the tacos and enchiladas, it was supposed to serve 4 people. The menu also needed to be updated because they cant find a certain meat. It was $56 and honestly wasn’t worth. However, the plates seems to be a bit better. Also the bunuelos were very mid, wouldnt recommended. Sweet server and okay food, maybe just order other dishes. The plates seem to be a better deal.

First time trying this place out and first impression was all positive. A lot of natural light comes in it was a little quiet but that did bother us, noticed 2 tvs and a DJ set up in a corner. I ordered their Fritanga plate and my wife ordered their fried chicken plate. My wife enjoyed the light breading om the chicken and loved the rice and pickled onions. The tostones were a very nice touch to the plate. The variety in the fritanga plate really made me feel like i got to try a little bit of everything they offer. The plantane chips were very delightful as i enjoyed the light crisp of every bite, the fried plantanes were a treat i wasnt expecting as they were soft and sweet, the gallo pinto was ad if ky grandma made them fresh at home and the chicken, beef, and pork were seasoned just write to give such magnificent flavor in every bite i took. Of course it wouldnt be right to leave with out getting a nacatamale for the next morning. Unfortunately, we couldn’t fit desert so we didnt get to order the buñuelos but we will save it for the next time we come back! They opened up about 4 months ago.

I have dined at this restaurant several times, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. During my recent visit, we ordered the Tacos Nicaraguense, Enchiladas Fritanguera, Caldo de rez, and Tostones con queso. Each dish was flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. Additionally, the staff were friendly and welcoming, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious cuisine.

I stopped by here because I’d never seen it before. I just remember country burger so when I was at the UHaul place I decided to give it a try. I was going to share the meat platter but she brought two, so my son and I had our own. We each ate it all but it was a lot of food. The orange juice was nice and fresh. I will come back to try other dishes next time. I liked it.

Finally we have a nicaragüense restaurant in the area. Food was delicious and service was excellent. They open up 3 weeks ago and they are still working on menu and still decorating the restaurant. All prices are fair and portion are good size. I can wait to come back for some Gallo pinto for breakfast.

We had a delightful dining experience at Encanta Latin Grill tonight. Lupita, our waitress, greeted us with a warm and polite demeanor, checking on us frequently with a friendly smile. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and the background music was at a pleasant volume.

We ordered the Pollo Planchita (grilled chicken) and Pollo A La Colonia (fried chicken breast), both served with a generous salad, rice, and banana chips. The food was satisfying, with a taste and texture reminiscent of a traditional homemade meal, all at a reasonable price. Additionally, the restaurant offers plenty of free parking, which is a big plus.

We’re definitely coming back to taste the other dishes.
