I really wanted to love this place since it’s one of the few restaurants offering halal steaks. The space is beautiful and the vibe is great. Our server started strong and explained the menu well, and everything seemed on track at first.
We ordered appetizers, multiple steaks, and several sides for a table of seven. Two ribeyes arrived first and looked great, but 20 minutes passed with no other food — no sides, no appetizers, and no other entrees. When we asked, our server brushed it off saying dishes come out as they’re ready, which felt dismissive given most of the table had nothing to eat.
Eventually sides and the appetizer trickled out, but five of seven people still had no entree. The two steaks that had arrived were going cold while we all waited, and the mood at the table dropped. A manager apologized and blamed Valentine’s Day volume, offering dessert and 20% off.
Another 20 minutes passed with still no steaks. One person in our group had to leave for work the next morning. When my $180 tomahawk finally arrived, the server spilled steak oil onto my lap while serving it ruining my pants and shirt. At that point it felt like one mishap after another. Drinks we didn’t order were dropped on the table as apologies, but the experience was already beyond repair.
The food may have been good under normal circumstances, but the delays, service missteps, and poor pacing ruined the evening.

I truly felt like part of the Familia dining here. Our waitress was awesome and David was super cool. The have a unique selection of beverages. The food is a little on the pricey side. The ambiance was welcoming. Like, make yourself at home.

Our waitress was very accommodating. She made a mistake on a couple of orders but more than made up for it with her great attitude and attentiveness to our needs. My favorite from the happy hour menu was the Queso Fundido. Oh the rice they make I love. It was so flavorful that I can eat that alone.
Another favorite was the twice baked potato. I’m not a potato lover but this potato I can eat again and again. So tender and tasty. I’d come here again.

We had a very poor experience at this restaurant, unfortunately. We had a large group and made advance reservations (26 people) and things started off great, but quickly went downhill. The service was VERY slow (we arrived at 5:15pm and didn’t finish our meal until 8:20pm!!). It took more than an hour just to get the salads we ordered as starters. Then, when the meal finally came out, several in our party didn’t get their food when everyone else was served, some of the salmon was raw (fully undercooked) and the staff was not responsive. Then, because more guests arrived in other parts of the outdoor seating, they took some of our outdoor heaters away mid meal (to provide to other guests), causing several of our guests to be very cold. Finally, when we got to the dessert course, it took a span of 45 minutes just to get the desserts to everyone (even though there was only one dessert choice). It was the slowest and probably worst experience we have had at a restaurant. We were charged over $600 in “fees” (large party fee, valentines day fee, credit card fee, etc…) before even the food costs. They agreed to take about $170 off our total bill (which was close to 2.6k overall) for the poor service, but this was a very small token that really did not make up for the poor experience). We were from out of state and this was a work trip, and the other reviews seemed positive, but sadly, this was not a good experience. It was sad that the manager on site did not work to try to resolve some of these issues during our visit.

Love En Familia! Super modern spot, amazing food, and the café de olla is bomb! My go-to is the chorizo con papas always delicious. The mariachi on Sundays makes it even better, and everyone’s super nice and welcoming.

I recently visited Familia Restaurant and had a great overall experience. The food was absolutely delicious,every dish we tried was flavorful and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy a good meal.
Our waitress was very kind and attentive, which really made the experience enjoyable. The only thing I noticed was that the person at the front didn’t seem very welcoming. A smile can really go a long way in creating a friendly first impression. It might be helpful for staff at the front to get some customer service training or simply be reminded how much a warm greeting matters.
That said, the quality of the food and service at the table made up for it. The Mariachis,amazing people!! They made our brunch extra special. Their performance brought so much joy and energy to our celebration. Highly recommend!

I was super impressed with the food. It was delicious and fresh. I had the barbacoa and potato taquitos and they were absolutely delicious. My friend had the Taco trio, both of those were appetizers and they filled us up.

My friends and stumbled upon this place after hanging out at the anaheim packing house. Manager was very accommodating as we didn’t have reservations for 10 people. I wasn’t too hungry so I had the beets salad with steak for protien, delicious combo. Must try cheese plate, great with crispy tortilla. I would recommend this place to all my friends.
