The only reason I go here is because it’s close to campus. Everything is overpriced for the lack of quality of food. The only hot food they have fresh is the sandwiches, and everytime I’ve been here the worker has forgotten a topping or has toasted it with the veggies and sauce on it. It always comes out hot, but the bread is never actually toasted. Just a soggy mess.

Great salad bar, great coffee.
Coffee refill (e.g. bring your own mug) is only $1.25!!! (I have 18oz mug) – and it’s starbucks! They brew it well – I worked at Starbucks for 5 months before in the past – so I know.
Great daily specials! *mocha’s on mondays are $2.50!!

The food quality is marginal and the prices are outrageous. I just bought a mushy half sandwich and a 20 oz soda and spent $7.50. EMRB Cafe is a last resort and only if you have money to burn.

Listen, you aren’t eating here because you want the best food. You are eating here because it is close to your work, quick, and not going to make you sick. They are very clean and the food is prepared well, but it is a cafeteria and that is what you should expect.

This place is terrible. They capitalize on the lack of options by providing barely edible food at a cost that regularly increases. Food is often under the heatlamp by 10am and is thoroughly mummified by noon. UIHC should be ashamed of this.
