I went today for a white mocha with almond milk and a balsamic chicken panini
That’s when I found out the cashier remembered my name. They called it for my coffee. Waited for a even longer time. It was busy though. The panini was longer too. Very very little chicken. I was partially upset. But I learned lesson I should have learned just by the cheese choices. It is a coffee place first and a cuisine place second, maybe even third with their smoothies too. Not sure, but the portion of meat for the price, eh… I wanted a early food place, not another Starbucks. So I have mixed feelings. I haven’t tried their regular sandwiches. At least they are Genova bread.
Oh yes, the balsamic glaze is divine
Turkey pesto panini 6.8/10
Caprese ciabatta pizza 6.1/10
Balsamic Chicken Panini 5.9/10 (lost points for lack of chicken but flavor was delicious)
Cappuccino 8.1/10
White Mocha coffee 8.9/10
Aside from tasting espresso I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy, the service was lacking, to put it politely. Idk if it’s because they’re going after an artsy coffee house vibe but not a single person was.. personable.. I only come back to town to visit and I’ll take this location off my list. Not worth it.
When I walked in, I was the only person in line and ordered a large smoothie to go. I was sitting for several minutes then glanced up to see a smoothie on the counter. No one called out the order so I walked over and asked the barista if it was mine. I was answered by a confused stare so I just looked and confirmed it was mine.
I grabbed a straw and put it in but because of the dome lid it barely poked out of the top. I asked if they had any longer straws but the several employees behind the counter just stared. I shrugged and asked if I could at least get a flat lid to replace the dome. Once I drunk a bit. They continued to stare for a moment before pointing to a stack of flat lids on the counter.
I did enjoy my drink but the interaction with the staff soured my day. I have enjoyed visiting Empresso ever since the original location opened up, and will continue to visit the other locations. I definitely don’t plan on stopping by the March location anymore.
I usually have great experiences at your location, but unfortunately, my recent visit was very disappointing. I ordered two paninis with jalapeños, but the jalapeños were not added. My order was ready, yet no one called my name, and I waited about 20 minutes before realizing it was sitting there.
By the time I received my order, my coffee was watered down from the melted ice, and the overall experience was frustrating. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this visit left me very dissatisfied and hesitant to return.
I wanted to share this feedback so it can be addressed for future customers.
I’ve been coming here for two years – always grab beans and get my usual latte. Last week I wanted to try something different, so I asked about one of their espresso drinks. The woman at the counter explained what was in it but left out the main syrup flavor. When I asked her to clarify what syrup it was, she got all rude like I was being difficult.
I mean, come on. I’m not complaining about prices or asking for remakes. Just wanted to know what I was ordering. But she acted like I was personally ruining her day by asking a basic menu question.
The coffee itself is still good, which makes this even more frustrating. I actually liked this place, but when staff makes you feel stupid for asking about their menu, it kills the whole experience.
Won’t be back. There are plenty of other coffee shops that don’t make you feel like you’re bothering them when you’re trying to give them money.
