I went in with such high hopes. I’ve been wanting a good cup of cappuccino. And warm food early in the morning. Years passing there, but never stopping in. My first visit was awkward. I ordered an 8 oz cappuccino, a Chicken pesto panini, and a Caprese ciabatta pizza for dine in. Cashier was extremely nice. Asked for my name when my items were ready. I extremely loved that she remembered me name the next day. That is rare now a days. But I don’t like they don’t give a receipt. Or I missed it on the card machine. I used cash. I take my seat and wait. And wait. I am called for my cappuccino by the cappuccino not my name. So I go up reluctantly. But I get it and sit back down. And wait… Finally my Panini is ready, but not the pizza. Pesto on the panini was delicious. But definitely laggy on the meat. I opted out of the Swiss cheese because I just don’t like it. And the only other choices are cheddar or pepper jack. Mozzarella is needed. Fresh even better. But hey… So the panini is small, first bite and I am called by pizza not by my name so I go for it. She has it far away, and smiles and apologies because it wasn’t ready. She had to drizzle balsamic vinegar on it. I get my ciabatta pizza and sit down. Pictures quickly of course. I choose the bottom of the bread first. The first bite is great. Forgetting Caprese has no meat… But second bite and the middle inside is cold. Not cold cold, but not warm either. But the flavor was there. So I didn’t complain. Top have qa just right. Cappuccino was delicious. The panini was lacking a punch of flavor. Maybe the swiss cheese. But really? Mozzarella, Muenster, Gouda, even just plain jack cheese. I left still hungry afterward for $25 and change. I didn’t know how clean up worked so I left a tip under the plate and mentioned it and the cashier said she’d get it. I said by and left.Theer is a man, not gentlemen whom sits out there and smokes cigarettes. I have 2 cancers I told him I don’t need more, but there was another guy with him lighting up today, as I looked eas in the man’s eyes as I said it.
I went today for a white mocha with almond milk and a balsamic chicken panini
That’s when I found out the cashier remembered my name. They called it for my coffee. Waited for a even longer time. It was busy though. The panini was longer too. Very very little chicken. I was partially upset. But I learned lesson I should have learned just by the cheese choices. It is a coffee place first and a cuisine place second, maybe even third with their smoothies too. Not sure, but the portion of meat for the price, eh… I wanted a early food place, not another Starbucks. So I have mixed feelings. I haven’t tried their regular sandwiches. At least they are Genova bread.
Oh yes, the balsamic glaze is divine
Turkey pesto panini 6.8/10
Caprese ciabatta pizza 6.1/10
Balsamic Chicken Panini 5.9/10 (lost points for lack of chicken but flavor was delicious)
Cappuccino 8.1/10
White Mocha coffee 8.9/10

Place needs a good deep cleaning. Dust everywhere. The pineapple mango drink was ok. The turkey bacon ranch panini is a different story. Bread was toasted, all the ingredients were refrigerator COLD. Cheese you can tell didnt melt. I mean what the heck! Nasty. Cashier was friendly.

I recently visited this coffee shop while running errands nearby, and I gotta say, it was a pleasant little spot. The place has a cozy vibe, with a few comfy chairs and some local art on the walls. I tried their caramel latte and it was pretty good—smooth and not too sweet. The staff were friendly and didn’t seem rushed even though it was kinda busy. The only minor thing I noticed was that the pastries looked a bit plain, but overall, it was a nice experience. I’d probably come back if I’m in the area again.

I’ve been going to Empresso since they were in the Empire Theater (back in my day type shii). This location is terrible. Ordered espresso, some of the worst I’ve ever had. First, my double shot was puny, I felt ripped off just for the dismal size of the shots. It smelled bitter, tasted even worse. I threw it away instead of torturing myself.

Aside from tasting espresso I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy, the service was lacking, to put it politely. Idk if it’s because they’re going after an artsy coffee house vibe but not a single person was.. personable.. I only come back to town to visit and I’ll take this location off my list. Not worth it.

The place is good for taking a coffee break and has an outdoor seating area. The coffee is okay and other drink is too sweet.

The customer service at this location is very poor. I have enjoyed visiting the other locations and the staff is quite friendly, but I have tried this one multiple times and it always feels very transactional and I just get the feeling that I’m not wanted there.

When I walked in, I was the only person in line and ordered a large smoothie to go. I was sitting for several minutes then glanced up to see a smoothie on the counter. No one called out the order so I walked over and asked the barista if it was mine. I was answered by a confused stare so I just looked and confirmed it was mine.
I grabbed a straw and put it in but because of the dome lid it barely poked out of the top. I asked if they had any longer straws but the several employees behind the counter just stared. I shrugged and asked if I could at least get a flat lid to replace the dome. Once I drunk a bit. They continued to stare for a moment before pointing to a stack of flat lids on the counter.

I did enjoy my drink but the interaction with the staff soured my day. I have enjoyed visiting Empresso ever since the original location opened up, and will continue to visit the other locations. I definitely don’t plan on stopping by the March location anymore.

Hello,

I usually have great experiences at your location, but unfortunately, my recent visit was very disappointing. I ordered two paninis with jalapeños, but the jalapeños were not added. My order was ready, yet no one called my name, and I waited about 20 minutes before realizing it was sitting there.

By the time I received my order, my coffee was watered down from the melted ice, and the overall experience was frustrating. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this visit left me very dissatisfied and hesitant to return.

I wanted to share this feedback so it can be addressed for future customers.

Asked a simple question about a drink and got attitude from the staff for it. Completely ruined what should have been a normal coffee run.

I’ve been coming here for two years – always grab beans and get my usual latte. Last week I wanted to try something different, so I asked about one of their espresso drinks. The woman at the counter explained what was in it but left out the main syrup flavor. When I asked her to clarify what syrup it was, she got all rude like I was being difficult.

I mean, come on. I’m not complaining about prices or asking for remakes. Just wanted to know what I was ordering. But she acted like I was personally ruining her day by asking a basic menu question.

The coffee itself is still good, which makes this even more frustrating. I actually liked this place, but when staff makes you feel stupid for asking about their menu, it kills the whole experience.

Won’t be back. There are plenty of other coffee shops that don’t make you feel like you’re bothering them when you’re trying to give them money.

I’ve been coming here for years on and off never had any issues. Today I got a large and small coffee and the small was fine but the large wasn’t filled all the way and was mainly big chunks of ice the straw wouldn’t even fit in there. The sandwiches I got the bagel was okay but the other breakfast sandwich was disappointing and disgusting looking and sloppy. I don’t except much but it could be better. When calling out my name the worker said “mia Mya or however you say it” honestly disappointed cause I’ve never had an issue coming here and this was the first time in years. Spent $31 here’s when honestly I could’ve made this way better at home! Too expensive to get bad service.
