First time going there to try a different coffe and not worth it ,first able they are not welcoming, I made my entrance saying hi good morning and nobody answer then I ask for a vanilla latte and the girl getting the order has a bad attitude, or she had a bad day, but people working in costumer services must have a friendly and polite attention, then I got my coffe and was good flavor but not hot enough. So, this place is not trustworthy at all. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a plain bagel with cream cheese through Doordash. Nothing fancy. First of all the bag showed up smelling like smoke, and that’s not Empressos fault, that was the dasher smoking in the car with my food in the car. Second, the sandwich was completely missing. So either Empresso forgot to put it in the bag or the dasher stole it. Thirdly, they gave me a disgusting everything bagel instead of plain, so I’m inclined to believe since they screwed up a simple plain bagel, that they forgot the sandwich. I called them and the person on the phone said he would make another sandwich and have Doordarsh come deliver it. I did complain to Doordarsh and they issued a partial refund because they messed up on the bagel. Well 40 minutes pass and no replacement sandwich and no phone call. I call empresso back and now they are refusing to send the replacement for the missing sandwich because of a partial refund for the wrong food item that I did receive. Completely bad for business, rude, and unreliable. I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism, not only from them but Doordarsh as well! Will never be ordering from them again. And I hope this serves as a warning for others trying to order from them. Beware.

I’m a regular customer @ both locations and I’ve ordered delivery thru doordash from this location twice and even though the first delivery was missing the coffee the second delivery was the worst, and I was extremely disappointed about it . The pictures below ladies and gentlemen are of their veggie and cheese panini which supposed to include the following items: lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, cucumber, mustard with choice of cheddar, swiss or pepper jack on genova ciabatta bread. As you can see the only ingredient this $7.99 panini has it’s cucumber and I’m assuming cooked lettuce? da other pic is of a medium half filled $6 latte yes this is how they sent it HALF FULL . Is honestly hard for me to see how a business that I’ve been supporting for a long time doesn’t care about their customers and is sad to see how little effort they really put to make this order. I don’t know why they would think sending these to a customer is okay? Like have some pride in what your sending out to your customers.

I’m thankful for Empresso Coffeehouse here on Janet Leigh Plaza in Downtown Stockton, but I have a bone to pick.
I once went to bartender school and if there is one thing that I was taught to remember, is that if the bartender/barista is busy, make sure that you (bartender or counter service person) make eye contact with your patron and slap a napkin down on the bar/coffee counter to acknowledge them, which means I’ll be right with you. This makes the patron (Customer) welcome,
and shows that you value their business.
It also puts into practice good customer service skills/manners.
So, each time I’ve sat at the counter here (2 times so far) there has been a strong lack of a warm greeting or acknowledgment.
Last Wednesday November 14th
morning my friend and I stopped in for coffee, breakfast, and danishes to go with us out of town. We sat at the counter and waited expecting someone (an employee) to welcome us and ask us our order. Well no, I had to get up and stand at the counter 1 ft. to my left and ask if I needed to order at the register. Whaaat! I didn’t feel too welcome and it made me feel awkward.
So that’s my bone to pick.

This definitely the best Empresso location in town! Everytime I come in I’m always welcomed with a warm greeting from the couple that’s always there. I can bring my dog in and get him a pup cup and he’s always welcomed in just as I am! The foods great there, my daughter loves the pbj there and Numa always puts a nice special twist on it for her. (Strawberries). The staff at this location always go above and beyond and really make us feel like part of the Empresso family. Thanks Nacho and Numa for being awesome people!

Finally made it here. Don’t get downtown much anymore. Great take away from the Green Machine for a real coffee. Coffee is fantastic and the beer selection is awesome. I’ll be back to try some of that beer.
