This was our first visit and overall the food impressed us. The butter chicken was very good, and the tandoori chicken was flavorful and cooked well. The naan, however, was a bit inconsistent—some pieces were burnt and overly crispy.
The prices were reasonable, which makes the place worth another visit. That said, there were a few issues that shouldn’t be brushed off. One of our water glasses still had leftover water from a previous guest, and there was a hair on one of the plates (photo attached). The washrooms were clean but clearly a bit rundown, though that wasn’t a major concern.
Service was polite, but we felt slightly rushed despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived. I’d still consider coming back because the food was solid, but cleanliness definitely needs more attention next time.

This Indian restaurant really stands out. The owner is welcoming and delivers genuinely excellent customer service, which adds a lot to the overall experience. The food is full of bold, authentic flavors, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to.
The Cauliflower Bites are a standout—crispy, flavorful, and very reasonably priced. And the mango lassi is so good I find myself craving it every couple of weeks. Easily worth recommending.

Empress of India in Uptown Waterloo is an excellent choice for authentic Indian food. The chicken lollipop and fish pakora really stand out—boldly flavored and cooked just right. They also offer a good selection of drinks, which pairs well with the desi dishes. Although there’s no dedicated parking, nearby options are generally easy to find. A solid spot to check out if you’re in the mood for genuine Indian flavors.

Ordered 2 things of butter chicken to feed a family – came with 2 pieces of chicken each … $20+ per container .. worth it if you plan on drinking curry as soup for dinner (although the sauce was good, the quantity was shameful). Their biryani was good though. But .. many Indian restaurants to choose from, so choose wisely

This was my first time eating here and the food was great! Some of the naan were a bit burnt and overly crispy but the butter chicken was very good. The tandoori chicken was well made and delicious. The service was good but we felt a little rushed by the server even though the restaurant was very empty at the time we came in to eat. One of our water glasses was already partially filled with leftover water from a previous diner and there was a hair on another one of our plates (see photo). The washrooms were clean but looked a bit rundown although this wasn’t that big of a deal. The food was well priced so I would still come back here and hopefully the dishes are clean this time lol.

This place is really nice! The ambience and interiors are simple yet very calming. Nice music as well. The service is exceptionally good, Gurleen served us she was wonderful! We ordered shzewan noodles and chicken manchurian. They both were good and flavourful. Chicken manchurian was on a spicy side but it was delicious. Noodles were thin and tasty.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and it was so good. The butter chicken was super creamy, rich, and full of flavour. Definitely one of the best I’ve had. The chana masala was just as good, really well spiced and comforting without being too heavy.
Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Honestly such a solid spot for a date night or just when you’re craving really good Indian food. Would 100% go back.

Me and my friend ordered the most delicious foods and drinks that were carefully prepared to make it look beautiful as well as the restaurant and the customer service. The customer service was 10/10, helping us order, being so patient, and everyone was extremely kind. My friend and I felt the genuine generosity from every worker here. Definitely will come again.
