The hang out is really casual like a speak easy. Love it. The food was good. I had a yummy protein ball. Thanks for the relaxed time.

I have been going to Empower for 5 years now, and Nick and the rest of his staff never fail to exceed expectations! This is one of my favorite places to grab my morning caffeine and catch up with the team! The teas offer a feeling of clean energy that I’ve really grown to love as I’ve moved away from coffee. Also, I love seeing how involved this store is with the community–They have hosted some amazing events in the Woburn community and I love seeing local businesses, teachers, and police officers at the cafe everyday. Empower is truly doing some amazing community-building work, which I really value…And that’s not to say that their teas aren’t also ADDICTING. Can’t recommend enough

This was my second time coming here, and I really like the shakes and teas — they’re great! However, it’s disappointing when the experience is ruined by poor customer service. The girl at the front desk didn’t greet me, and I had to say hi and bye first. She seemed to have no sense of urgency, appeared miserable, and was more focused on her phone than helping customers. It definitely takes away from what could be a really good spot.

The decor is definitely neat, although it doesn’t seem related to the name of the place. I was not greeted as a customer and the only customer in the place. The worker definitely finished whatever she was doing on her cellphone before she even made eye contact and took my order. I ordered a tea and a peanut butter cup shake. I said yes to the toppings and drizzle, but definitely wish I hadn’t. It looked like she poured a half inch of the “drizzle” in the bottom of the cup and just put a crush Oreo on top. It was disgusting, all the sugar free “drizzle” ruined the shake which are already pricey. I would absolutely never go to this particular shop again. I would not recommend it either.

Empower Café is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a community anchor. Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the welcoming vibe, the attention to detail, and the sense of purpose behind the place. You can tell the owner put real heart into this space—it’s not just about great coffee (which is fantastic), it’s about building connections and honoring something bigger.

The food is fresh, the drinks are on point (highly recommend the cold brew and breakfast panini), and the staff genuinely cares. You don’t feel like a customer—you feel like a friend.

If you’re anywhere near Reading or just passing through, stop in. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, meeting up with friends, or just need a quiet place to think, Empower delivers. Places like this are rare. Support it—you’ll be glad you did.

I have the pleasure of usually seeing Keira behind the counter and she is fabulous! I think she has a really good read on the people who want to chat and those who are just there for their order. She’s a great person to chat with if I have the time/if the shop isn’t too busy. Love the retro/funky vibe this location has and how different it is from the boho vibes of the sister store in Reading. There are always fun specials with a pop-culture theme and I haven’t had something I disliked thus far! That being said, I’m familiar with Herbalife and the type of nutrition products they sell. It could be confusing to see the word “shake” and think you’re getting some sort of milkshake-type drink, especially with the vibe the place gives off. All the staff I’ve met there are nice and I’m sure they would answer your questions about the food items they sell. Thanks, Empower!

They sell “protein” cake pops that the owner said were 60cal each with 8g of protein and 4g of sugar back in September, and then in January he said 120cal each with 8g of protein and 4g of sugar.
Today found out he is selling false information and lying. They’re 210cal from a wholesale restaurant store with 28g of sugar and only 2g of protein. He is mislabeling nutritional facts to sell them as healthy. Don’t know what else they’re lying about….

Went there, close to where we were staying. The young lady working there was great, but all by herself. Four people in front of us, took a long time to be waited on. The muffin was ok, the coffee and the ice latte was terrible. Spent $20, drive away, took a drink and couldn’t finish them. Our next stop we threw them away.
