Started with mushroom soup. Unlike other mushroom soup, this one is less creamy, but more mushroom flavor, you will never get tired of it.
Rib eye is my all time favorite, here the steak has really strong milk flavor, And the fat is not so greasy. The portion of steak is huge, And the asparagus cook perfectly.
Cheesecake is tasty as well, not heavy at all, perfect ending for this great meal!
The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok (dry-aged, bone-in ribeye was tough and gristly with a lot of sinew in my cut – unexpected for a good cut of what should be well-marbled meat). Asparagus on the greasy side.
Lavendar creme brulee was good, though.
Overall, a good service experience, just a bit tough that my steak didn’t meet expectations. My dining companion had a great grilled branzino, though – that looked amazing.
For dessert, the crème brûlée was silky, creamy perfection with that irresistible crackly caramel top. It was so delicious I genuinely regretted not ordering one to go!
Our server was attentive without hovering, striking the ideal balance so my date and I could enjoy uninterrupted conversation. Warm, professional service all around.
This place exceeded expectations, I’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to try more from the menu. Highly recommend for anyone craving a top-tier steak experience in the heart of the city!
I visited this restaurant after finding it through Google reviews, and it truly lived up to the hype! Unlike some other places where racial discrimination can be an issue, I didn’t experience anything like that here. In fact, the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind.
For Korean visitors—if you’re worried about the discrimination that sometimes happens in Queens, Wolfgang’s, or Peter Luger, come here instead! I highly recommend it.
A special shoutout to Armin (server) and Ridi (manager)
-they were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and professional, and thanks to them I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience.
I originally planned to order the porterhouse, but since it was Thanksgiving, I went for the Thanksgiving dinner set
—and it still exceeded all expectations. The ribeye and filet mignon were both fantastic, and the mozzarella tomato salad was especially delicious. Even the wine they recommended was perfect. I truly enjoyed everything.
If I come back to New York, I will 100000% visit again!
Thank you for making my evening so special.
Alex, our server, was absolutely outstanding — attentive, professional, and incredibly welcoming. He made sure we had everything we needed and made our evening even more special with his great service.
The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations, and the desserts were just as impressive — the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal.
Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for excellent service, incredible food, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!
My sons have tried many steakhouses in New York, but they confidently say there is no place that serves steak as good as this one, and they even come down from Connecticut on weekends just to eat steak here in New York.We love the porterhouse, and we were happy to visit Empire again last night and today.
Thank you always for the consistently delicious food.
I hope you will stay just the way you are in Manhattan for a long time to come. When I come with my family, I enjoy wine with my meal, and when I dine alone, I often have beer instead; both pair very well with the steak.
For side dishes, I usually order the mashed potatoes or the mac and cheese; both go perfectly with the steak and taste wonderful.
You should try them together sometime.
