Our first visit was spectacular! We’ve searched this area for years for a halfway decent pizza joint with ZERO luck. The surrounding area is clean and contemporary. The same can be said for this establishment. We were warmly greeted and sat immediately. The service staff was attentive and helpful. Though, due to my error, I was given a slice instead of a full pie. However, they remedied my mistake even though they didn’t have to. We tried a pie of the Uncle Buck, a slice of the Foghorn Leghorn, and a pie of the Notorious P.I.G. We loved each one! Fresh ingredients and love are baked into each dish! The Foghorn was especially bursting with flavor! The prices are a bit hefty, but you will get quality (and quantity – huge pies) when ordering. We will definitely be back!

In a world of skyrocketing prices and plummeting value, Empire Slice is a breath of fresh air!!! Our party of 7 was immediately greeted with a smile and a table without waiting. Our server Lansing was professional and polite and gave perfect service. The prices were fantastic when filtered through the quality of food provided. There are very few restaurants I can find anymore that don’t end in disappointment. Prices seem to ever increase while either portions shrink, food quality tanks, or service is insufferable (sometimes the trifecta). But not here. Somehow Empire seems to capture the essence of “Quality Service” that most of the time seems decades lost. The management team at Empire are doing things right, so next time you want incredible pizza at even better value, do yourself a favor and stop in and ask for Lansing and see if you don’t agree with me!

We were optimistic, expecting New York style pizza, hoping for something like Joe’s Pizza on the streets of NYC. We were terribly disappointed! Greasy, poor ingredient , underbaked pizza that made my husband sick when we got home. I had the Fungus Among Us slice and a slice of pepperoni. Both were doughy and not crispy at the crust at all. I could not eat the Fungus Among Us, the flavor was very off. My husband had a couple pepperoni slices. We used napkins, which got fully soaked with all the nasty grease. The place reminded me of Chucky Cheese with all the bratty screaming kids that parents refuse to discipline to act respectful in public. Not my cup of tea.

Yummy, thin New York style pizza. We had a great server, I think her name was Allison. She kept all our drinks filled, and always brought us a smile. Also, the no-bake cookies were great. We’ll definitely be back.

So this is in direct response to the folks below me. When you have that large of a group, you need to understand that things will be a little different. The people that work here are fantastic people, extremely polite and accommodating. My family comes here so much that we are on first name basis with many of the people here. Sure there are times it gets busy, but we roll with it. Just today we didn’t get our usual because of an order that took 25 of the gluten free crusts. Did we cry? No. We actually ordered an extra bit because of the wait time. Take some time to get to know the people that are serving you. Believe it or not, they begrudgingly deal with you so they can get a pay check.

I love that Edmond got an Empire!!! My daughter and I went tonight and got the Garlic Knots and two slices of their daily slice pizzas. They have a list that they will drop at your table that will tell you their daily slice options. They are $4.25. Their menu is a QR code you scan. The Garlic Knots are garlicy and served with a side of marinara. Who doesn’t love Garlic breath? The pizzas are thin crust with a nice, crispy bottom. I love the Fat Tony and white pizza. I recommend these if they are on the menu.
While we waited for the pizza, it was fun looking at all the posters on the wall.
Service was good, immediately greeted when we came in the door, our server promptly greeted us and offered the specials. She answered any questions we had and checked back on us throughout our visit.

We had family in from out of state visiting and wanted to take them to our favorite pizza place in town. We didn’t realize that Fridays were super busy, due to game night. Our server was so sweet and continued to check in with us. Even though there was a lengthy weight to get our pizza, we received our salad, drinks and enjoyed the time with our family. The manager Brandon ended up taking care of us and made it all worth while. It’s hard to find customer service like this anymore, and we will definitely be back!

We were quoted a 40-minute wait, which felt reasonable. Our large group of 18 happily waited… and waited… and waited. When the Toast app confidently announced our table was ready, we headed inside only to discover that this was more of an aspirational notification than a reality.
After an hour and a half, my sister politely asked if we could combine a few empty tables so we could finally sit. This simple request was met with an Olympic-level eye roll from the blonde host at the front (whose nine-inch nails arrived at the conversation well before her manners.) The answer was an immediate no.
The manager then stepped in and somehow made things worse. When asked the same polite question, he replied, “Don’t tell me how to do my job.” An interesting response, given the the job was in fact not getting done. He added that we wouldn’t fit—but if we wanted to “squeeze,” that would be on us. We agreed.
Moments later, the large “big top” group got up to leave, and suddenly we were offered their table. As it was being slowly cleaned and reset, the host finally motioned for us to follow her with a passive-aggressive “you can come with me,” no eye contact, and a dismissive hand wave. We weren’t even sure she was talking to us—but the attitude confirmed it.
Once seated, we watched the same host walk just a few feet away to the servers and openly tell them to give us bad service.
We were there to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and the staff seemed to know exactly how to make him feel like an unwanted child instead. Our family has never gotten up and left a restaurant before, nor have we ever been treated so poorly—but this experience managed to accomplish both.
No food, no drinks, just a very clear lesson in how not to treat guests. If you’re looking for hospitality, celebration, or even basic courtesy, I’d recommend choosing literally anywhere else.

Can’t serve a group bigger then 10+ with an initial 50 minute wait plus another 30 minute wait with a hostess that has an high-school attitude to treat you at the door. Management allows this, cause it was the same treatment when someone in our group asked just to be seated at empty tables since we waited longer after an hour and a ½ and the told us to “not tell him how to do his job.” When we did get seated, the hostess went around servers, within earshot of us, pointing and making faces that seems ill-hearted. We are a very patient group of people and are aware the larger group comes with more accommodations, but when a customer nicely asks a question and is met with hostility, it doesn’t sit well. Ended up leaving for better food and service that doesn’t tell the customers to wait a more minute with the middle finger.

Dined in once, and taken away twice. We’ve tried a few of the different pizzas now, and they have all been great. The pizzas we’ve picked up have always been hot and fresh by the time we got home. The pizza itself has a really great dough base and is not greasy.
