Visited for brunch on Super Bowl Sunday at 11:45 and there were plenty of seats open for walk-in. Our waitress Tiara was amazing and went out of her way to make me an iced latte, which loved! I had the French toast and definitely recommend it. I took away one star only because my husband had the chicken and waffles which he said was good, but the chicken was quite dry.

Some friends and I went here before a concert a few weeks. Our waitress Priscilla was amazing & Al the sweet older gentleman kept our waters so full we had to politely turn him away a few times LOL The mgr even came out and spoke to us and other tables. We all loved our cocktails and food!!!! Some of the items looked expensive for the size but what we had and when it was split up between 4 people, seemed reasonable. Would definitely come back.

I was craving oyster while visiting home. My sister took me to this restaurant, and we were led to believe that they had good oysters. O noooo. The oysters were not fresh and served with tiny Tabasco sauce ughhh. If you eat oysters, you know that’s a nono. Mignonette is a must with horseradish and cocktail for a true oyster experience. Our bartender was very rude and argumentative for no reason. She had no idea what Mignonette was when I asked her if they had any and where the oysters were from. I sent those stinky things back. I ordered the salmon and risotto, and o my word it was so good. The cook cooked that to perfection it was perfectly seasoned and correct temp. I would give it another try and not sit at the bar when I’m out of town.

This was my first time visiting Empire Kitchen & Cocktails. It was very busy, and I noticed that several tables hadn’t received their food after I was seated and ordered my food—the kitchen seemed a bit backed up.
I ordered the short rib with whipped potatoes and tomatoes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. It was seasoned perfectly and easily the best short rib I’ve had at a restaurant. It was very tender.
For dessert, I got the chocolate chip cookie brownie with ice cream and caramel drizzle. While I enjoyed the ice cream, the cookie had a strong freezer-burn taste. My cousins tried it as well and agreed. It would have been great if not for that issue.
Overall, my cousins also liked their food, but their order of potato slices was burnt. Despite the long wait and minor issues, I’d consider coming back for the short rib and I’d try the pizza and a different dessert.

Delicious, fresh, perfectly-tempered food. Atmosphere, hostess, and waitress welcoming and attentive. Take my word and other reviewers’ word for it. A must for lunch, brunch, or dinner.

Great atmosphere for brunch, along with great service but the only downside was the food. The chicken and waffles were overcooked, and hard with syrup. The veggie frittata was a bit spicy including to many jalapeno peppers as to be expected, but there was no salt and pepper to my tasting. This plate was sent back, and removed it from my bill. I have had a great experience with brunch previously unfortunately, not this time.

Extremely disappointing experience. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet it took over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. After finally being greeted, we waited another 20 minutes just to receive our drinks. Throughout the entire time, there was no sense of urgency, attention, or care from the staff.
The most frustrating part was discovering they automatically added a 20% gratuity to the bill. It honestly felt like the staff had no incentive to provide decent service because their tip was guaranteed regardless of how poorly they treated guests.
Poor service, long waits for basic things, and an automatic gratuity that wasn’t earned. I would not recommend this place—there are far better restaurants nearby that actually value their customers. Avoid.
