The food at Empire Express is absolutely delicious! We used to order it delivered regularly until we moved outside the delivery area. This was the first time we’ve ordered and eaten at the physical restaurant. It’s a very small location, not terribly welcoming. I don’t think they get many customers that eat in house. But the staff were extremely kind and friendly. We will definitely return in the near future. This has always been our favorite Chinese food joint in Northern Colorado. Highly recommended!

First order I was happy with the amount of chicken in my General Taos Chicken. Second order was a different experience. I ordered Cashew Chicken and the amount of chicken and cashews was disappointing. The picture is deceiving as all the chicken and cashews were on top of the rest of the veggies. Crab Ragoons were excellent however. So I had to edit my initial review from 4.5 stars to 3 stars. Seems like it might be hit or miss unfortunately.

I ordered through a delivery app so I can’t speak to the service or atmosphere, but the food was not good. The eggs in my ramen soup had greyish brown egg whites and the lettuce wraps weren’t edible either. The filling was a can of peas and carrots with some chicken tossed in. Lettuce was pulled for salad, no way to wrap anything in those pieces of lettuce. It was just as well, I couldn’t eat a canned peas and carrots. Disappointing to say the least.

So I would like to say. That I am highly upset that I brought close family from Texas. All the way to Laporte to eat Asian food and it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I left my plate on the table. I’m going to attach a picture. Please tell your cook that he or she needs to try harder. Not acceptable. Not at all. I will give you one more chance and I will come in and eat once more so I can try to leave a positive review but this time it was unacceptable.

This place is outstanding… Never once over the 10 years that I have frequented here, have I been anything short of EXTREMELY SATISFIED after dining here. Also, the owners are very sweet and hardworking; I’ve never seen a time when they were not there, doing all of the cooking and cleaning themselves, every time I go! They have mastered Asian cuisine to where it tastes delicious no matter what it is, and reliably provide this experience time and time again. This is the best feeling place to spend my dollar at, all around!!

Really tasty, super fast, and amazing price! Staff is friendly as well. Perfect local option for Chinese takeout without having to go into Fort Collins and pay 3x for food that isn’t as good. I truly don’t understand why some other reviews are so harsh.

Great ramen! Great takeout, not a first choice for dine-in. We loved how the ramen came in two containers, with noodles, egg, pork belly and fixings in one container, then soup in another so we could mix them when we were ready to eat without the noodles getting soggy on the way home. Food was very tasty. Only downside really was that the place needs a refresh and looks kinda beat up inside.

This was my first time ordering delivery from this place. Their Google reviews aren’t wonderful, so I was a bit skeptical. To my surprise, the food was great, fresh, hot, and packaged well. My kids really enjoyed the ramen and so did I. The broth was absolutely perfect! We also ordered crab cheese wontons, general tsao, and orange chicken with fried rice. Everything was great and we will definitely use them again in North Fort Collins.

Honestly, scoffed at some of these 1 star reviews. The environment, service, and food is exactly what you would expect from such a charming hole in the wall. Had the general Tsos chicken dinner special that came with rice, an egg roll, and wonton soup. Was some of the best food I’ve had here in NoCo. Don’t let the reviews or the rating make you miss out on such an awesome, delicious, and wickedly affordable meal! Will be back !
