I called 3 times on my way to the Punta Gorda location. Once sitting in the parking lot. Not once did someone answer the phone. I walk in to find 2-3 of the girls standing at the end of the counter playing on their cell phones while 1 was running around actually making the orders for the two people in front of me. Plus got home to see the lack of cream cheese they put on the bagels

I’m from Jersey and really good bagels are hard to find everywhere. True NYers know that not all who say theirs are authentic NYC bagels are, IMHO, the real deal.
Empire Bagels is the exception, even importing NYC’s wonderful water, a required ingredient in any authentic bagel. You can order online for pickup at an appointed time. What’s not to like?
Try these bagels and you’ll never eat those icky frozen or bready genius puffy ones, if you know what I mean…

I ordered the egg, bacon and cheese bagel toasted. It was served just as I ordered it a very good. The coffee is excellent. Service was very good and my food was brought out very quickly hot wrapped very nicely. Large parking lot sometimes you can get a good parking spot. It’s in the Winn-Dixie shopping center.

Very skimpy on the product . Do not listen to how you want the sandwich .I asked for chicken salad with tomato on a well toasted bagel, there was a paper thin slice the size of a half dollar and the chicken salad was spread so thin you could only taste celery and onion. Very disappointing as they did not toast it as asked. Do they have new owners because when they first opened bagels were very good. We won’t go back

Empire Bagels is hands-down our favorite bagel spot! Their bagels are soft with the perfect slight chew, and they have just the right touch of sweetness. We usually go for their ham, egg & cheese on an onion bagel (so good!), but honestly even a plain bagel with butter is incredible. The staff is mostly young, but they’re always super pleasant and accommodating. Even when the store is busy—which it always is—they move quickly and get your order out fast. Great food, great service, and consistently fresh bagels. Highly recommend!

We stopped in for breakfast after an early morning run to Winn Dixie next door. It was our first time here. The food was excellent. I got a bacon egg and cheese bagel on a garlic bagel. The food was fresh. It was so good. I highly recommend this place.

Favorite bagel shop in Charlotte County. Their fresh ingredients and New York Bagels are better than when your in the big apple. They use boars head products so you don’t have to worry about garbage fillers. Their bacon is cooked perfectly and something to dream about. These 2 beauties pictured are:

Coastal Kayaking
Perfect bagel shop. Actual fried egg instead of microwaved, delicious bagels, and excellent ingredients. I personally love their breakfast sandwiches even though my other half almost always gets a bagel lunch sandwich. Both are great and this place is definitely worth a try.
