Customer service was horrible! We walked in the restaurant and the lady was on FaceTime. Straight ignoring us like we weren’t there. It gets worst! After waiting for our Empanadas, there was no meat inside. Basically I was eating fry dough. Let’s not forget, they also gave me the wrong order! July 13, 2024 about 8:40pm

Had a great time grabbing a bite at this Dope spot. The owners and workers make you feel right at home with their hospitality. The food is delicious. Recommend this spot if you looking to get some nice Dominican fast food(frituras). Try their natural juices you won’t regret it ;).

I’ve loved Empanadas Monumental since I was a kid growing up in Santiago, so it truly pains me to write this. The customer service at this location is absolutely awful. The girl who attended me was rude and unprofessional, she acted like she was doing me a favor rather than treating me like a paying customer.
To make matters worse, while I was placing my order, she was verbally playing around with another customer (who seemed to be a friend of hers) in a way that was loud and offensive. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and disrespectful.
And if that wasn’t enough, whenever I order through Uber Eats, they switch the type of meat I choose without informing me or giving me the chance to cancel if what I want isn’t available. That’s completely unacceptable.
Empanadas Monumental is a place I’ve held close to my heart for years, but the people running this location are a disgrace to the name and everything it represents.

I ordered chicken cachapa ,3 chicken quipe and chicken patacon. The order arrived i got 3chicken empanada which i didnt order 1 beef patacon which i didnt order and (the cachapa which was good). I called and told them my order was wrong i dont want that so she told me order one thing and she’ll send over the right stuff. I ordered one empanada when i already paid like 44 dollars for the meal and had to pay an extra 10 to get it delivered. The second order arrived and i got 3 chicken undercooked quipe ,one chicken sandwich and 2 res empanadas. Which i didnt order I dont like that meat this is why i ordered chicken. Still got my order wrong after i called and told them. They need better service and get these orders right. This is the 2x its happened.

The service is pretty terrible, I will never go back. The place is not the cleanest either and they have a grimy fridge that you can barely see through so I asked if they had Monster drink and the rude employee responded with “we have just what you see in the fridge”. My family of 6 was there that day and I spent about $30, one of my daughters ordered a pork empanada only to be given some weird pizza/pepperoni/cheese one. Trying to get ahold of the employees is not easy since they just go in the back to talk unless you’re ordering. Once she came I asked her if this empanada was pork, without even looking at the contents the response was “yes, I took it from here (as she pointed to a particular spot) so it’s the right one” when I turned to my daughter to ask if she wanted to switch it, the employee was gone once more and I had to call her back. I asked if I could switch it because it didn’t taste the way it should, she said “it’s pork sir, that’s what I gave you, but I’ll switch it” So I picked a different empanada and she informed me that it would be a $1 difference. I paid the $1 and told her the service was pretty poor here, to which she replied in a very snarky manner “the owner is here if you would like to speak to her” and my response was no thanks, I just won’t come here again.
