Small place with a great flavor. Very well made Argentinian Empanadas. They are small but delicious. You’ll have to buy several of them to feel satisfied. We asked for different types. Beef one was the best. Go there on time to have a place to seat inside, specially important during cold weather.

My first time here and I ordered a small cappuccino with almond milk and a shrimp empanada. the cappuccino was very good, but the empanada wasn’t good at all. you could tell they used frozen shrimp and not fresh ones because it was chewy and hard.
I probably won’t order it again.

Decided to try this place for empanadas, as I love to eat them quite regularly. I thought the cafe was great for the value.

I got a beef argentina (buenos aires), a cuban, a shrimp, and a guava & cheese for dessert. They were about $3 to $4 per empanada, which I thought was reasonable. I really liked the beef (especially the green olive inside) as well as the cuban (although cuban is a little bit drier inside than the others), but my favorite was the shrimp. It was super savory and surprisingly juicy!

I didn’t care much for the guava & cheese, as I thought it was too sweet. I just had one bite and didn’t finish it. However, I do not often like very sweet stuffs, so it’s more of a personal preference. But be warned that the dessert empanadas are likely quite sweet.

I also liked that they labeled each of the empanadas with its name so it was very easy to figure out which one is which when you have multiple empanadas.

Decor-wise: very cute inside and outside. It’s tiny, but makes sense when you’re just eating empanadas.

Will add this to my rotation of empanada places when I’m in the area.

First time here and went with ham & cheese. Could not believe how good it was. Made a second trip and stocked up on three ham & cheese plus three chicken. Wanted regular chicken but got spicy on that one. Third and fourth visits okay. Fifth visit at checkout tapped my card not realizing the tip given was 20%. Believe that is optional if eating at location but was hoping to get that error corrected and give tip of choice and was not given that option. When going there I do takeout. Enjoyed coming here but not so much now.

OVERALL SCORE AT END OF REVIEW!!!!

Came in today to try some empanadas! Boy was I not let down. This might have been some of the tastiest empanadas I’ve ever had. Super authentic food. The dough they use to make the empanadas is super thin and delicious. It reminds me of a lighter pretzel type of dough thin enough to have a crunch. The Philly cheesesteak empanada is super good. If you are going in make sure you ask them to hear it up. We tried a bunch of things from Philly steak to spicy chicken. Got a cheese danish/croissant, a chocolate croissant. I didn’t have a picture of the tres leches cake but let me tell this is hands down the best cake I’ve ever had. If you can get one sweet thing here it is def the tres leches. This place is awesome if you want something small. The staff is friendly she was really nice and helped us out. She recommended some coffee and it was really good. Paired perfectly with the empanada and tres leches. If you are ever in the area I would def stop here, it’s def worth the bang for you buck. We got 8 pastries and 10 empanadas ( I didn’t count exactly) but it came out to 89$ pretty good for a budget delicious meal.

Overall I give this spot a 8.6 on the Empanada scale. Totally worth the time!

I’m not Argentinian but I have been to Argentina and these empanadas pale in comparison. Since I’m rating these according to how I feel they taste, I would give them a 3/5. That being said, I think these empanadas are crafted for a less traditional and more American palette. Thus, if I were to rate them with solely an American palette, I’d probably give them a 5/5.

I ordered the ham and cheese, Buenos Aires, beef, and spicy chorizo empanadas. The regular empanadas are almost $4 and the special empanadas are almost $5. These prices are very high for empanadas but if you’re in the mood for empanadas, I’m not sure you can get much better in this area.

The empanadas come with a hot sauce and a chimichurri sauce. The hot sauce was delicious and had good heat. The chimichurri was bright, tangy, and flavorful. The ham and cheese was not very good as the mozzarella cheese had no bite to it. The cheese was melty but not in a good way. It disappeared almost immediately after hitting your tongue. It kind of just melted without imparting any flavor. The ham was cut up into small cubes and didn’t taste like much. The Buenos Aires was strange. The sun dried tomatoes didn’t go well with the ham and cheese. The beef empanada was made with ground beef and went well with both the hot sauce and chimichurri. The spicy chorizo was delicious and was appropriately spicy. I would get the beef and spicy chorizo empanadas again.

Inside, there is a small counter space to stand or sit and eat your warmed empanadas. They accept credit cards as well as cash and they have an atm inside.

A lovely bakery serving delicious pastries and Argentinian empanadas.

Ambience/Location: 5/5 Located on Washington street, the place is very functional on the inside, showcasing their pastries amd empanadas. No seating in the inside, but a tables outside to enjoy your purchase.

Service: 5/5 Very friendly and fast.

Food: 5/5 They have a large variety of baked goods and desserts, with a nod to the Argentinian way of making them (for example, there croissants are more like a sweet bread).

They have a large selection of different empanadas to satisfy every taste.

Their pan de bono was delicious! Amd gluten free!

Price: 5/5 Very reasonably priced for the quality

This is not a typical empanada place we see in Jackson Heights or the upper west side, it’s an Argentinian empanada place. These empanadas are big and they were baked. The fillings have Italian flavors to them. The chorizo tastes like Italian sausage. They also have pepperoni ones. The shop is small, and the it’s a perfect place to grab a quick bite when you get out of PATH.
