Went last week. Tried almost all the empanadas. Coming from an empanada lover:they are “ok”. I have had better. They are baked, and to my personal preference when you fry empanadas the dough tastes better and is crispier. The guava and cheese was totally not something I will eat, I couldn’t even try it, by smelling it, it smelled like cream cheese and a little bit of guava. My husband and son tried it and they didn’t like it. Plus, it’s not that attractive to the eyes. The ground beef one is over seasoned. Too much cumin or something too strong I couldn’t pin point what it was. The Cuban one, didn’t taste like anything in particular. I could t tell what was ham and what was pork, never saw a pickle in mine, Although my son says he did. I’m Cuban, this is far from a Cuban sandwich. No flavor. The chicken one was ok. Not anything I would go back for because I’m craving. The guy at the counter was nice, giving 5 stars for service and atmosphere as the market is cute to walk around, and the food options are good.

The staff and food are top notch. I’m always greeted with a smile and the team goes out of their way to make sure my experience is the best. I love the Cuban, Picadillo and Chicken Cheese Empanadas.
I also noticed the size portion of the food has gotten bigger for the same price and I love that.

Very light and crispy. Different than heavier dough people might be used to.
I couldn’t make up my mind and the young lady helping me (I think her name is Ana) gave great recommendations. My husband loved the cilantro sauce with the Picadillo filling that she said paired well.
Such a good experience with friendly staff and great food.

Chicken empanadas are delicious! They are cheesy and well seasoned. The beef empanada was not our favorite, it needed more seasoning and not too sure what’s mixed with the beef. We had to try them but we will stick with the chicken next time. Very friendly staff member, multitasking and still smiling and acknowledging the customer!

One of the cheapest and quickest eats inside the Plant St Market, Empanada & Co. offers a few varieties of fresh made empanadas with 3 optional sauces: hot, mild, and cilantro/garlic.
I tried two empanadas: the cheese and shredded chicken and the plantains and chicken with the cilantro side sauce. The plantain/chicken empanada was not my cup of tea – I’m not a fan of sweet main foods, but it was definitely different and worth a try. The cheese and chicken was delicious – stuffed with shredded chicken and paired well with the cilantro sauce for a nice meal.
I also love that you can grab a table and scan the QR code on the table top to put in an order here. You will receive a text when it’s ready to be picked up at the counter.

The Cuban is the best ever! The empanada shell is baked perfect. The blend of ham, pork, cheese pickle is off the charts! The sweet plantain and cheese leaves you asking how can anyone else compete!

Limited on what they make, and BEWARE the beef empanada has vegetables inside. The chicken and cheese was a better and only option

Came to the Plant Street Market a little bit ago to explore and see what was good. One of the things in this world I rarely ever turn down is a glass case full of scrumptious looking empanadas. I saw them and instantly went in for one.
It was so long ago, and I don’t remember what fillings were in mine, but that’s not what matters! What matters is that it was a very good empanada. It was a decent size, about the size of a hand. It was super crisp, and not made soggy by the fillings within.
It was stuffed to the brim. Sometimes, you bite into one, and it’s mostly air, like the inside of a chip bag, but not these. You get the bang for your buck here. And I remember that I had no complaints with the seasoning or flavor of the fillings.
Overall, very good. I would come back to this empanada if I came back to this market, that’s for sure.
