BOMB’s Flavors and Favorites
Being world traveled and a HUGE fan of Korean cuisine, let me say that THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE, of you want authe tic and delicious…while enjoying great people and atmosphere.
I stumbled upon this treasure, while we ate at a place, that is now closed. We decided to return and MAN WERE WE HAPPY, that we did.
Im an hour from this place…and we have to visit a couple times a month. The bulgogi, in all flavors, are incredible. The ramen is top shelf, the sodes and flavors are all crisp, fresh, authentic and literally return me to ine of my favorite places in the world, the ROK.
The Yakmandu (potstickers/dumplings as some refer to them), are a mist. Nit to mention, the spicey wings are full of what we live from asia, and a high recommendation, to kick start the experience.
The staff/service are friendly…and have pretty much memorized our orders. Tho we REALLY want to try so many ither dishes, its easier to take a group and to “graze”, as we like to say. That way the Bibimbap, or others, may be shared, while rice, pork, and ithers are passed around. The Kimche is OUTSTANDING … IT WILL go fast, so dont limit how much you order. Its good ANYTIME!

The customer service is exceptional. Our server was kind, helpful, and polite. The restaurant is spotless and well-organized. The food is good, but the portion of meat could be improved. Thank you to the young man who served us; you truly made everyone’s day better. Your caring nature and grace are commendable.

This is my new favourite Korean spot for GR. It is cozy, quiet and traditional. Their banchan selection is perfect and SO good. Homemade kimchi that you can
buy take home too. Great selection of shareable hotpots. Amazing flavors. They just reopened two months ago so it might be different if you had been there before. Worth the trip! It is the same owner as the K-Rok BBQ and karaoke downtown.

I happened to be in the area the same day I read a Reddit review of Emonae, so I figured I had to try it. The guy who took my order was super friendly and helpful, which made a great first impression. I got the Bibimbap with tofu and the steamed veggie dumplings — both were delicious! The sides of kimchi, pickled radish, and bean sprouts were all so good too. It was like a rainbow of flavors in every bite. I live about an hour away, but I’ll definitely find an excuse to come back to GR just to eat here again.

This used to be my favorite Korean spot. I loved their kimchi stew. We saw the open sign about a week or two ago for the first time in what felt like at least two years. We came today to eat at a time on their website that said they were open. They were not. There are no hours on the door. There is a sign that just says not open Mondays and Tuesdays. There is no explanation note anywhere. Their website is misleading. It says downtown but their downtown restaurant is krok- which we don’t like nearly as much. Their address is not downtown. I am beyond disappointed. People seem to be able to eat there. I can’t imagine how.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The staff was superb (Thank you Natasha for your excellent service and Jake Loved the playlist). The food was great, the prices were fair, the portions were decent. First time there and the service has made me a life time customer.

1st time going to a Korean BBQ. I was surprised to see most of the tables have little cooking grills installed in the center. (I feel really out of touch! Am I the only person that doesn’t know this?) So you can choose to sit at one of these tables or sit at a normal table and choose items that are cooked in the kitchen. The whole thing was a great experience. I thought it was pretty cool when our server brought small tasting dishes of typical things Koreans enjoy eating as accompaniments with their meal. If you decide you like one, you can request more. We started off with Yangyeom wings. (Spicy wings) It was a unique flavor. We also got Japchae (glass noodle type dish with veggies and ribeye stirfried with soy sauce) and Dolsot Bibimbop (meat and veggies served over crispy rice in a stone bowl topped with a fried egg). Man oh man that’s a lot of tasty food. Thanks to our wonderful server Rebekah. She really helped educate us on how to navigate the menu and select a great meal. She was awesome!

When this place was in East Lansing, my husband and I ate there about once a week. SO sad that they moved to GR but so glad that we have the ability to still go there every once in awhile. The Kimchi Ramen is out of this world. Perfect thing to warm you up from the inside on a cold day!

Very pleased with the atmosphere, service and food quality. This was a great, relaxing experience on par with Korean BBQ i n L.A. The service was by far exemplary, and the meats and Kimchi, and sides as well. The best appetizer is the seafood pancake. Thank you!
