Brownie skillet was not gluten free but still hot, gooey, and delicious!
Atmosphere is great, the staff is kind and friendly, the manager was on it! Excellent service overall.
Pizza, AMAZING! Mozz sticks, to melt for & the most delicious burger I’ve had in a very long time. Manager was kind enough to treat us to a dessert, and boy did that melt in my mouth. 10/10 highly recommend. <3
First and foremost, I’ve traveled to 42 States and have had pizza from multiple establishments in each of those States. Needless to say, I enjoy good pizza.
From the pictures online, this place looked pretty good. But I was a little surprised that an 8-in by 10-in with two toppings was $26. This can sometimes be overlooked four extraordinary taste and quality. Which brings us to the taste and quality. In my opinion, the pizza was undercooked. It was very doughy throughout the entire pizza. So much so, that biting into it had the texture of like cookie dough. When I chew pizza I don’t want to feel as if I’m chewing bubble gum. Granted, maybe this was just a one-off and everyone else’s pizza comes out fine. But I would be surprised if this were were the case.
The sauce was good and the pepperonis were good And I think they are about maybe 10 chunks of the bacon which was ehh. But to be honest, I think $3 for roughly 20 Pepperoni’s or 10, chunks of bacon is pretty pricey. Especially considering I could pay $6 more and get a pound, of which is roughly 250-300 individual pepperonis. Or $5 more for a pound of daily’s bacon.
And trust me I get it, businesses have to make money but I just think that’s a hell of an up charge when the the 8-in by 10-in is already $18.50
I will say that I loved the seasonal Arc Angel pizza – the balance of ricotta and crust as well as the truffle cream was outstanding.
I was less impressed with the other seasonal pizza called Seoul Mate, which felt like it had too much crust, but that could just be because I’m less into Detroit-style and it didn’t have that ricotta to balance out the crust.
I’ll have to try another pizza and also a burger next time to round out my opinion.
That said, I do love that they can be made gluten free for my family. The service is always fantastic.
Wasn’t impressed with their burger or chopped cheese – both mediocre at best.
I don’t know what’s with Durham’s waitstaff. It’s hit or miss. Last night, we had ask for water 4x, ranch 3x.
Pizzas are great
Stick with those.
Went for lunch before and their lunch slice was huge. I’d say that is a good “deal”.
Park in Brightleaf parking lot.
Enjoy!
