It’s hard to find a good gluten free pizza and wow, this one was GOOOD. They make the dough in house and the pizza was perfectly fluffy but yet crispy bottom and edges. They have special crafted pizza options or you can create your own. I loved the Hawaiian! Perfect mixture of sweet and salty.

Brownie skillet was not gluten free but still hot, gooey, and delicious!

Reservation not needed, but recommended if you dont like long wait time. It was our first time there and decided to wait for a table, although 45min wait time was given, we were seated in half that time.

Atmosphere is great, the staff is kind and friendly, the manager was on it! Excellent service overall.

Pizza, AMAZING! Mozz sticks, to melt for & the most delicious burger I’ve had in a very long time. Manager was kind enough to treat us to a dessert, and boy did that melt in my mouth. 10/10 highly recommend. <3

The repurposed Brightleaf tobacco warehouses are now home to a number of great restaurants. Emmy Squared Pizza sits right at the entrance to the courtyard. Their seasonal special, the Seoul Mate pizza, delivers layers of flavor with every bite—spicy, fresh, sweet, and savory all at once.

Today was our second visit to Emmy Squared and they’ve made longtime customers of us! Steph, the manager, recommended we split the burger as an appetizer and, as burger lovers, it exceeded our expectations. For our entree we shared the MVP and the Caesar. Both have made their way onto my pizza and Caesar hall of fame. The Caesar dressing is made with anchovies but it adds an amazing umami undertone and is not at all overpowering. The entire staff was very attentive. Our server Shameka was especially friendly. We finished our meal with the skillet brownie which was an absolute delight. Needless to say, we will be back!

Highly disappointed.
First and foremost, I’ve traveled to 42 States and have had pizza from multiple establishments in each of those States. Needless to say, I enjoy good pizza.

From the pictures online, this place looked pretty good. But I was a little surprised that an 8-in by 10-in with two toppings was $26. This can sometimes be overlooked four extraordinary taste and quality. Which brings us to the taste and quality. In my opinion, the pizza was undercooked. It was very doughy throughout the entire pizza. So much so, that biting into it had the texture of like cookie dough. When I chew pizza I don’t want to feel as if I’m chewing bubble gum. Granted, maybe this was just a one-off and everyone else’s pizza comes out fine. But I would be surprised if this were were the case.
The sauce was good and the pepperonis were good And I think they are about maybe 10 chunks of the bacon which was ehh. But to be honest, I think $3 for roughly 20 Pepperoni’s or 10, chunks of bacon is pretty pricey. Especially considering I could pay $6 more and get a pound, of which is roughly 250-300 individual pepperonis. Or $5 more for a pound of daily’s bacon.
And trust me I get it, businesses have to make money but I just think that’s a hell of an up charge when the the 8-in by 10-in is already $18.50

My mother and I wandered in after doing a little shopping in bright leaf and left feeling very satisfied. The pizza was fantastic, the server was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with choosing our delicious pizza. The drink were very delicious too. We had the nonalcoholic beer and a few cocktails. And the Brussels sprouts salad was to die for! I definitely plan on going back soon!

I have never had Detroit-style pizza (to my recollection) outside of Emmy Squared, so I’m not sure how representative Emmy Squared is.
I will say that I loved the seasonal Arc Angel pizza – the balance of ricotta and crust as well as the truffle cream was outstanding.
I was less impressed with the other seasonal pizza called Seoul Mate, which felt like it had too much crust, but that could just be because I’m less into Detroit-style and it didn’t have that ricotta to balance out the crust.
I’ll have to try another pizza and also a burger next time to round out my opinion.

That said, I do love that they can be made gluten free for my family. The service is always fantastic.

Ive eaten here more than several times, always take out because parking is hard to find. For 1 pizza and a salad is always $50. I get the large pizza to have leftover pizza. Tell me why I can count 20 pepperoni on the photo of the ‘Roni Supreme’, which is the smaller option they advertise. Yet I order the large Roni Supreme and there’s only 18 pepperoni? That’s basically the only thing on the pizza, some slices have literally 1 pepperoni on them. When they first opened everything was perfect, yet ive felt shorted the last 5 times ive ordered here. I usually get the ezzo pizza because of the toppings, yet knew i wasn’t gonna get many pepperoni, therefore ordered the ‘Roni Supreme’, jokes on me I guess, cuz im Supremely disappointed.

Emmy’s pizza is phenomenal! I ordered the Ceasar salad to start and it had a very unique taste, but was good. I also ordered the VIP pizza and it was incredible. The sauce was amazing, the pepperoni had a nice hint of spice, and the crust was perfectly baked. My mouth was awakened by the many delicious flavors that came with each bite. VIP pizza is 99/10. I recommend eating outside for a peaceful, relaxing, and quiet dinner date.

My twenty something son’s love this place. Detroit style pizza. I forgot to take pictures. Pizza is great. Pay the extra money and get a large. You’ll want it!
Wasn’t impressed with their burger or chopped cheese – both mediocre at best.
I don’t know what’s with Durham’s waitstaff. It’s hit or miss. Last night, we had ask for water 4x, ranch 3x.
Pizzas are great
Stick with those.
Went for lunch before and their lunch slice was huge. I’d say that is a good “deal”.
Park in Brightleaf parking lot.
Enjoy!
