A family owned Westfield staple. Emma’s is authentic Italian. My go to place to get dinner when me and my family want to have a great meal. Their servers are attentive. I have eaten here for years and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very cozy and if you can’t eat in, no problem. They also serve take out. Highly recommend their pasta dishes. Fantastic catering services as well.

While visiting a friend in Westfield, we chose Emma’s for dinner. A cute little place with plenty of parking.
I had the crostini gorgonzola as an appetizer. The bread was nicely toasted and there was just enough cheese to make it tasty, but not overwhelming.
As a main course I had the teriyaki pasta (fettuccine). Very disappointing . The sauce was excellent, but the pasta was so undercooked that it was gummy and, unfortunately, inedible. Normally I would have said something, but our waitress ‘disappeared’ for an extended period and by the time she came to check, the food was cold and so was my appetite.
Will not be going back. ☹️

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Everyone loves this place and I have no idea why because it’s low tier dated Italian food. I’m going to keep this short and sweet. The Calamari “The best in town” they say is overpriced, under portioned, under seasoned and over cooked. The Eggplant Rollatini we ordered was spongy, overpriced, under seasoned again and the tiniest portion. The pizza is awful and poorly executed and overpriced. The entrees reflect all the rest of the menu, dated, no seasoning, underwhelming small portioned and way over priced. The best thing we ate was the bread with the dip.

Nice place, weak food. You can tell it’s just frozen food warmed up. Portions are tiny for the price. The pasta fagioli soup side I got with my fish dinner was 1/3 full. I couldn’t imagine paying the normal $5 for it. $27 for the dinner pictured. Stuffed haddock was suppose to have shrimp and scallop stuffing. Not a shrimp or scallop piece to be found just clumps of bread crumbs. At least the veggies were good.

Charging $7 to use a card is insane. We spent almost $200 for a large party and then we were charged exactly $7 because we didn’t pay cash. If I knew this in advance I wouldn’t have tipped over 27%. I would have used that extra for the bogus card charge. Unfortunately we aren’t going to penalize the server since customers pay the living wage and you don’t know this sneaky grotesque charge until you get the bill.
Food was plentiful and delicious although some of the pasta dishes that came out were swimming in oil. Our server Rayanna was hard to track down. We had to find her and ask her for refills, a spoon, and other things. Other people brought out food and it would have been nice to have been checked on by the server so that we didn’t have to get up to ask for things. She seemed disinterested in her shift and overwhelmed with the couple tables she had.
One last thing when we called to see if we needed a reservation the lady on the phone literally laughed and said “on a Saturday, um yaaa”. Wish I would have taken our parties business somewhere else after the snooty attitude on the phone when making the reservation. Lesson learned.

Noisey restaurant, poor acoustics, difficult to converse at the table with others. Quality of food is inconsistent. Lacks seasonings and flavor especially the pasta fagioll. Needs to review food prep and quality. Staff is friendly and efficient.

But illegally charging 3% to order when you pay with a credit card.
It is against Massachusetts law. Too add a service charge to your bill. You can give a discount for cash but you can’t charge more with a credit card.

Wonderful place we found tonight. Their menu is great that they show a cooking style, then list all the foods that can be ordered. Several choices can be ordered as a double and split it. Soup is great, salad was fresh and crisp. All the staff were friendly and helpful in selecting the entries.
We will definitely return.
