Stopped in the restaurant while visiting the area. Nice homemade food. The owner was so nice pleasant and the food was very good. I would recommend stopping by Emma’s if you’re in the area.

Wanted to try something different! First, Emma greats you! She is very sweet lady! She let us know everything is made to order so it takes some time, so be prepared for about 15 to 20 min wait while the food is prepared from scratch. First out was a passion fruit drink which was delicious. Little music and conversation. Then two LARGE portions of rice and beans came out for each of us. So share that and order a different side so u can try more of the menu. Next came a whole large fish. Becareful there are bones, but it was on point! The spice and flavor was Great! Has a little Kick! Put the juice from the fish on your rice and beans, you will thank me later. Next came out a whole lobster. Lobster was perfect! Great flavors, with just enough flavory juice to mix in with your rice and beans… yumm!!!

Wow! I’m so glad to have this great new place in our small town! My husband & I LOVED everything that we ordered. I had the fried pork with red beans & rice, plantains & pikliz. He had the stewed beef. Both were flavored beautifully with very tender meat. We will be back! Thank you Emma!

Picked up an order placed over the phone. Food was amazing! I hope she stays in business for many years as I’ve been looking for this type of food in this area since moving out here. Service was great. Everything was cooked fresh. Big portions. Can’t complain about anything.

What a great place! There are not many restaurants on the Hwy 301 corridor in the Jacksonville/Middleburg area. So my wife and I were excited when Emma’s opened. We stopped in last night on a whim, and boy, are we glad we did! Not only is the owner, (Emma), cheerful and friendly. She is also a great chef! We ordered the stewed beef and the Griot. (Fried pork). Both came with, beans and rice, and, fried plantains. One came with pickliz, (a savory, spicy slaw). Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be frequenting this place! We can’t wait to try some of her other dishes!

The wife and I were looking for somewhere fast to eat we saw Emma’s place so we stopped in the welcoming was overwhelming the restaurant was so comforting like a small mom and pop place. As we looked at the menu knowing the type of food that it was I asked Emma if she could cook it a Certain Way, Emma states to me “ Honey I’ll cook it anyway you want” And she took our heart. And let me tell you friends the food was amazing it didn’t come out of a freezer in a pre-packaged bag from some distributor it was authentic it was cooked with love, care, patients, experience, happiness, I have tried these dishes on many different islands in the Caribbean not to say they wasn’t good but I think the experience made Emmas way better it wasn’t commercialized you don’t get that experience often these days. We will be going back to Emmas and if you ever get a chance I suggest you at least try it I gave it a five star rating if I could give it a 10 I would we love you Emma and it was very nice meeting you and we’re eating your jar in about 10 minutes.

I ordered the snapper and the rice and peas. It came with plantains and I also ordered the picklese. Everything was amazing and fresh. The picklese was amazing. I loved everything. My partner ordered the griot and it was also delicious. I would definitely recommend and it was worth the drive if you’re coming from Jacksonville.
