I really want to give this place a terrific review- I can’t. We have been to this restaurant several times in the past 6 months and the best word to describe it is inconsistent.

Stay away from the hot mess AKA known as the Deconstructed Chicken Pot Pie. It’s just a big bowl of cream of chicken soup with chicken chunks over cooked and straight from a can. The puff pastry was the best part but really should it be? Do yourself a favor and get a can of Campbell’s!

The hamburger ordered medium came out as dry as a hockey puck. And this is such a departure from the luscious burger served several months ago.

Service for a small place is not that good and the wait staff need to be trained/refreshed in hospitality. It was not at full capacity and this is a such shame-it all feels rushed.

Two meals, two drinks and it’s $100.00 for a bad experience. Next time I will wait for a table at Sam’s up the block.

As a first-time tourist in United States I was amazed by this place. First of all, Emma is such a cute dog and there were lots of her pictures around! Secondly, the atmosphere gave me a real American experience. And finally the food was delicious – I’ve ordered an onion soup with fish and chips and my friends went for some salads and all of us were very pleased with the choice. Our waiter was a very funny and kind man, unfortunately we’ve only been passing through Westchester but next time I’ll make sure to come here again!

Review:

We had an absolutely delightful experience at Emma’s Ale House in White Plains, NY! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Richard, went above and beyond to make our evening special. When he learned that our daughter’s name is Emma, he surprised us by bringing over branded hats for the kids. Our son, Dylan, was thrilled to wear a hat with his sister’s name on it – it truly made their night!

The food was incredible – every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. We felt welcomed and well-cared for throughout our meal.

Emma’s Ale House has earned a special place in our hearts, and we will definitely be back again and again. Thank you, Richard, and the entire team, for making our visit so memorable!

If I could give Emma’s Ale House negative stars, I would. I’ve eaten some questionable things in my life, but this was — without exaggeration — one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. And it’s especially disappointing because this place used to be good. I don’t know what happened, but something has gone very wrong.

I ordered their “deconstructed chicken pot pie,” and what arrived was not deconstructed — it was disrespected. A gloopy, beige soup sloshed across a plate, spilling over the edges like someone ladled it out of a bucket. They didn’t even bother to wipe the rim. The vegetables were in huge, uneven chunks. The two chicken pieces were mushy. It looked like a pot pie that had been through a natural disaster.

To their credit, they did take the pot pie off the bill — but honestly, it should have never left the kitchen in the first place.

My boyfriend ordered the roasted chicken, which somehow managed to be both tasteless and soggy, while the potatoes were scalding — a combination that honestly feels like a culinary red flag.

And here’s what made it sting even more: my boyfriend is in the service industry. This was one of the rare nights where we both got to be guests instead of employees. And this is the meal we got. When the server asked how everything was, she walked away before my boyfriend even finished his sentence. When we politely mentioned the issues at the end, the manager shrugged and said, “We’ve just been really busy tonight,” as if a full dining room is a shocking plot twist in the restaurant world on a Saturday night.

The restaurant was super loud, overly crowded, and they were out of the nightly special before 7:30 PM. The whole place felt chaotic, rushed, and sloppy — and unfortunately, the food matched the vibe perfectly. And for the price? Absolutely not worth it.

Emma’s used to be a solid local spot, but at this point, I wouldn’t return. I wouldn’t recommend it. And honestly? I wouldn’t even wish that “pot pie” on my enemies.

Never been here before. Nice surprise of a place! Good selection of beer but wish there was more craft available. Had a really good burger here! Also highly recommend dessert. Yum!
Good service. The atmosphere could use a refresh but if the food is good who cares.

The Rooney Burger was tender and the Emma’s Secret Sauce on it was delicious. The spinach artichoke dip was creamy and comforting.

Shoutout to the bartender for making my friend and me some fun drinks when we let him choose.

New favorite spot!

Probably passed this place dozens of times while visiting family in the area and finally had the great chance to stop in for lunch. Neighborhood FIND! Loved the pretzel bread with mustard served while waiting. Then the food was really well done. Nice portions, fresh vegetables, sweet potato fries were a nice touch too. They were easy about accomodating changes. Nice pub feel and not too noisy (yay).

Very good service, food taste super good. I wish they had more option in the menu. However it’s good to have whatever you’re good at in the menu.
I love the decor of the dogs paintings. Our daughter loved it.
No kids menu, but the sliders were delicious, we added onions and tomatoes.
My husband had fish and chips, he said it was amazing.

Waiter was very attentive, service was stellar as this is a five star place.

The bread sticks were dry and hard. Not great.

The steak was ordered medium well but came back not even well done but “congratulations” if you know what I mean. Super dry and way overdone. Not good and inedible.

The beer selection was good.
