When you see them take in money for an order in front of you then turn around and give your sub a good rub down without washing there hands, you’ll turn and leave as fast as me. It’s Unreal this place operates as dirty as it was and handling money then preparing food? If you care about anything that involves cleanliness then I’d avoid this place as all cost. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Spent over $60 on 3 8-in subs, 3 fries and 1 order of bone in chicken wings. 2 out of the 3 subs were make incorrectly. Was told this place was really good and was disappointed to say the least. I love family owned busin3sses they have passion and understand the cost of raising a family. Buy a GIANt Pizza get a GIANT pizza free. Hands down much needed in today economy. Whoever runs this place needs to be locked up. The food is absolutely disgusting and low quality. Both times I ate here it gave me an upset stomach the next day. One of the ladies that works here is rude as hell on the phone and got an attitude with me. It’s not worth it even at its low price point. It’s just trash all around if you ask me.

Ordered door dash just now. 8:30pm 1/3/24 i ordered a calzone with ham, pepperoni, extra cheese mushroom and onion… they were mad i ordered and sent me an ONION BLACK OLIVE AND PERREPCHINI calzone.. also with frozen sauce. I crust you not — Emilio’s has the best pizza and subs in the entire Roanoke Valley. GirrrrL, let me tell you: Emilio’s prices are so good, it’s almost un-dough-lievable! It’s no wonder they’ve been rolling in the dough for decades.
They used to deliver (and maybe still do?), but honestly, their pickup deal is supreme! Ask about their buy-one-get-one-free deal on large and XL pizzas — because two pies are always better than one, duh.
The only crusty part? The location. Since Roanoke City decided to toss all the homeless folks out of downtown, a lot of them have rolled into SE and tend to loaf around across the street and in the parking lot. It’s not Emilio’s fault, but it does make picking up your piping hot pizza feel a little extra adventurous.
Bottom line: If you can rise above the sketchy scenery, Emilio’s will absolutely deliver (pun intended) on flavor, value, and all-around dough-lightfulness.
Go ahead and take a pizza my heart, Emilio’s — you’ve earned it.
