Went last night on the 30th, Emilia’s hits all the right notes. The food is a standout, every dish feels thoughtfully made. Service is solid, friendly and attentive, just a touch shy of perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. Worth a visit.

This is my third-fourth time coming here. Barbacoa tacos were delicious. ☺️ You get six corn tortilla tacos with Charro beans on the side. For appetizers they give complimentary chips, sopa de fideo and dessert of the day which is usually a tres leches cake slice. ☝️ Note if you are watching your carb and/or calorie intake you can let them know what you don’t want up front (chips, soup, dessert) and they will take care of you.

My friend & I were visiting from Corpus Christi and needed to eat before we left back home. We have no regrets about choosing this old fashioned Tex-Mex Restaurant, the food was delicious and VERY friendly staff. Love their traditions of serving soup as appetizer and flan/cake for desserts. Will definitely come back.

Well came for 1st time to this location and sorry guys was a simple NO reason ok I ordered the Enchiladas swisas and as if they already had the tortillas rolled and left for some time till tortilla gets hard and they feel that the green sause will make it soft because it’s wet. Well, no tasted horrible like flutas soaked in green sause, and a lot of white cheese melted. she took them back to remake, but it was still done the same and yet less chicken, so it was like the corn tortilla by itself. idk was still not freshly made and very sour. The mexican rice was bad tasted like if it was cooked with re-used oil that was cooked for fish because it tasted like Marisco/seafood the mashed beans tasted Burned like when they get burned and they add more beans to the pan to try and cover their mistakes yet it transfers the burnt taste through the food. The 2nd plate was milanesa. Yes, it’s a huge piece, but it has too much nerve/ligament cooked that it was like Jerky Very hard and tough, meat is not cleaned well. Good old fashioned Tex-Mex favorites in a unique historic-like setting; delicious and extremely reasonably priced—almost all of the plates includes a starter soup (noodle or vegetable), as well as a dessert to finish (cake or flan). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A wide selection from breakfast, lunch, and dinner (usually open to 8 pm); a selection of bottled beers also available. As “local” as local gets—never disappointed.

Today I went and my food came out to me cold. When I asked the server if there was anyway we could heat it up she said no it’s fresh. We never got straws nor eating utensils so I went to the front to ask for some. We were never checked on during our entire lunch time. Sadly this is our last time going there. Too many opportunities we’ve given it to see if it could be like it was before and unfortunately it is not.
