The service really stood out, our server paid close attention to every detail without ever being overbearing. Everything felt intentional and well timed.
The appetizers were unique and full of flavor, not your typical starters which was appreciated. For my main course, I had the Duck Cannelloni and it was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, rich, and packed with flavor. Truly fire.
Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back!
Our service was too notch, Xavier was our waiter and man did he deliver the service! Very attentive and informative on suggestions. Another waitress with blonde hair took the time to assist us and even take photos of our anniversary!
HIGHLY recommend, we will be back!
We all deserve a second chance. Because Denardo cares about his customers, he turned things around and we had a great Valentine’s Day and have a Great story to tell! Oh and the Red Velvet Pancakes were Fabulous! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Our server, Kevin, was kind and knowledgeable. We even got the chance to chat with Chef Preston, which made the experience even more special. He shared that the meatballs are made with a special blend of six different proteins (wowww!!) and finished with this creamy house-made parmesan cheese foam. The grilled bread that comes with it is perfect for layering with the meatballs, sauce, and cheese for a complete bite!
Arancini has always been a favorite of mine, so we naturally had to order it. I really enjoyed the hint of creamy eggplant inside that perfectly compliments the cheesy risotto ball. The broccolini was simple but so flavorful, and the pistachio pesto paired with was a standout— I need a jar of it asap!!
The potato gnocchi was rich, with a bold romesco sauce balanced by creaminess. The whole bronzino was light, flaky, and not fishy at all. The skin was perfectly crispy and paired well with the mild, buttery fish inside. I’m not even usually into cooked fish, but I’d 100% order this again. The creamy leeks underneath made a really nice savory sauce to scoop up with the fish and veggies (plus shishitos yummm!!)
The braised beef rib was super tender, and the buckwheat polenta cake was a unique and nice pairing for the dish. It reminded me of a savory cornbread with a crispy exterior and soft center.
For dessert, we had the tiramisu and white chocolate cheesecake. Both were great, but I had to try the tiramisu since it’s one of my all-time favorites! Made the traditional way, with thick layers of mascarpone cream, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a lush layer of cocoa powder on top — it was a fantastic closer to the evening.
Wine-wise, I absolutely loved the Auntsfield Sauvignon Blanc — juicy, crisp, and without being too sweet. A great summer wine, I loved it so much I even asked our server, Kevin if I could take a pic of the bottle haha!
Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of heart. Highly recommend Emilia’s for a special night out or if you’re looking for a meal that’s both elevated and approachable in an elegant yet cozy setting!
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft.
I’ll start with the food as I have a few choice words about the drinks.
I ordered the 2 egg meal. It’s basically the same as Waffle house only the potato is a fancy Gallete in stead of hash browns. I added sausage. There was nothing special making this a $15 meal plus another $7 to add the sausage. It was good but I’m sorry, this meal at Waffle House is just as good for half the price.
My wife got the avocado toast. She said it had no flavor. $19 for flavorless toast? We make the same thing at home and add a delicious vinaigrette over ours. That might have made this better but still not worth the price.
Our waitress was great, the place is very beautiful.
It was hard to find at first. We pulled in where we thought there would be valet parking but no one was out there and no signs. We turned around and then finally found it.
Now the drinks! Charging $20 for a drink is crazy. I guess the real crazy is the folks who pay that for a drink. Most of the liquor used in those is only a few dollars more for an entire bottle. I get $10-12 for a good cocktail but $20-22 is absolutely insane. I’m so tired of restaurants doing this and I refuse to pay that.
I have money, I can afford to eat here but the food and pricing do not match. I would never come back. But if you’re wanting to spend some cash and try a new place put it on your list.
Our server recommended the red velvet pancake special, but it was very lackluster. I didn’t finish it, and my husband didn’t enjoy it either. I also ordered a bagel, which was served with cream cheese that had visible mold on it. When I brought it to their attention, it was dismissed as “foil,” which was concerning.
We were given complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries, I’m assuming to make up for this, but neither of us cared for them.
What was most concerning, however, was the hygiene we observed. Our server and another staff member repeatedly rubbed their faces and noses without washing their hands before handling food. There was also frequent sneezing and coughing among staff, which made us uncomfortable.
On a positive note, the cocktails were very good, my husband enjoyed his steak and eggs, and our server was a kind young man.
Unfortunately, the food quality and sanitation issues overshadowed the positives for us.
The service was excellent, striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional.
My only negative comment — and this is partly a matter of personal taste — concerns the pizza Margherita. Traditionally it does not include garlic, but this version had a lot of it. If the restaurant chooses to add garlic to the sauce, this should be clearly stated on the menu. The pizza was also slightly burnt. It was still enjoyable, but not quite at the high standard the rest of the restaurant sets.
On a very positive note, the budino al pistacchio is absolutely to die for — truly delicious and highly recommended.
Parking might be an issue.
