Pieces of vegetables TOTAL. The speciality pizza looks nothing like the online version. Salads are basically iceberg with some toppings. They seemed totally understaffed with only 2 people. The check out girl seemed to only do that job while there was only one person cooking (and admonishing her for not giving wait times). In short, paid a premium for what would have been half the price and faster at Marcos or like
Update: after a few days I did get a refund and a credit. We ordered again to try it out a couple days after that. Arrived very quickly to the right place this time. My wife, who’s from New York, loved it! She’s a pizza snob and said quote “this is how pizza should taste”. So big turn-around!! Thx.
I’ve been here twice. Ordered the same thing both times. The first time – fantastic, no complaints. I think the owner or a manager made the pizza because 1) it was delicious and 2) he was super engaging and polite when I picked it up.
The second time – complete opposite. A couple of tatted up kids made my pizza and…well it sucked. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and jalapenos. Most of the slices had only 1 or 2 pepperonis and a single jalapeno on them. I paid $35 for this pizza and drove 40 minutes round trip to get it. You shouldn’t be cheap with the toppings if you’re going to charge that much for a pizza. Lesson learned. I will not be back.
Unfortunately, when I got down the road and opened the box, I realized that most of the slices were missing cheese. The parts that did have cheese and sauce were great. The best in the area by far, but about half the pizza ended up being just dry bread, and I ended up throwing it away.
Had I noticed before leaving, I am confident they would have happily remade it. I was just in a hurry and did not check the pizza before driving off.
Will I be back? Yes, the pizza itself is that good, if it was done right. Next time, I will definitely inspect the pizza before leaving.
One small additional note. Some exterior lighting or a lit sign would really help. As I was approaching after dark, I was unsure whether they were still open.
If you’re craving for some great, high quality NY style pizza, Emiliano’s is a big recommendation!
