I don’t know if I’m just hungry or our food up at Canada is incomparable, but this food here is AMAZING. The service, I think the server is called Maggie? Sweet as hell. We were sort of those annoying needy customers, but Maggie kept a smile on her face the whole time. The service was amazing…
The atmosphere, I am from Canada and we don’t have much restaurant or pub like this. This place hit me so hard I instantly told myself this is America… It ain’t no small town back at Canada. The atmosphere reminded me of those saloon pub things in western movie, especially the Bison, moose, deer, bear, pronghorn, jackalope (very surprised) elk taxidermy. This place is amazing… VERY RECOMMEND THE BISON BURGER!!

While in Montana, we wanted to find a low-key hidden gym with a small-town authentic feel and homemade food. This place hit it in every single way. This was exactly what we were looking for. The aesthetic inside and out, the vibe, the service, and the FOOD. Man oh man it was a 10/10. We got the bison burger and the fish and chips and I could 100% tell them were both made from scratch. One of the best bison burgers I’ve ever had. Put this place on your list! Highly recommend.

Amazing service! Very quick and friendly staff. For a drink we got a Caesar – delicious. For appetizers – we got the jalapeño poppers which were great! I got the crazy woman pizza and it was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to try more pizza from this place. My husband asked for a “rare” ribeye steak because everywhere always overcooks steak.. but this place did NOT. His steak was actually RARE, which is fantastic. (Next time we’ll order medium rare haha) the staff was incredibly kind and quick. 10/10 recommend

The woman working at the bar tonight (2/18/26), maybe 50s with dyed blond hair, offers truly terrible service. Forgets things, does not notice things nor customers, catty attitude. I’ve seen her several times and always wondered how she is working in a service type environment. Had several terrible experiences with her. She should take some lessons from Maggie, who is pretty good and understands good service and customers.

This place had the nicest people! Shout out to Rose and Tamara and the young man who did the cooking who came out and spoke with us. The food was incredible and you have to try the tater tots and Rib Eye. Atmosphere fit right in with area !!!!!

We stayed nearby for vacation and stopped in our first night! The food was SO good. We had salad, pizza, pasta and much more. They were out of Elk chili so we said we would come back Thursday – why you ask? Because Chuck (owner) was going to make sure these Florida gals tried some. We went back Thursday! We got wings, poppers and chili and it didn’t disappoint! Great people, great food and loved the rustic yet culinary flare he put to the dishes. 10/10 would recommend!

Classic feel. Has the dive bar vibe, but feels very taken care of and clean.

Service was pleasant and food was good.

Chicken wings were exactly the chicken wings I needed in my day – perfectly fried, crispy, not-too-heavy breading. A pleasant surprise!

The Crazy Woman pizza we ordered looked amazing, but ended up being a garlic bomb. We are garlic lovers, but this was SO much. Like, an Italian would have screamed, “Uncle”. A garlic farmer would have said, “whoa there bud, that’s enough,” a quarter of the way into the application.

I understand garlic is personal, so this doesn’t affect the overall 5-star experience. But, be forewarned.

We were there on an off night. It wasn’t really busy, but it took an extraordinary amount of time to get our dinner. We ordered the special (prime rib) and steak+shrimp. Both were cold, missing items, and over done/seasoned. Our waitress was great, apologized that this isn’t the normal service, and deducted the missing items from the bill. I will give them another shot, eventually… but for the price that I paid for dinner this night, I left feeling pretty frustrated. The views sitting outside are spectacular though.

Fantastic beer and the Crazy Woman pizza was a delight. Bartender was friendly and efficient and the owner came out of the kitchen to check on the dining room. I’ll definitely be back.

First timer here.
Attended the free annual Thanksgiving dinner because at 63 I avoid cooking big meals for myself.
Besides it was nice to meet new people.
Will definitely be back.
Cute Montana pub with outdoor seating. Something to look forward to this summer.
Thank you for the meal Emigrant Outpost!!!
