I’ve been coming here for years, even before the fire a few years back and always loved the food. But on my recent visit, everything felt different with new staffing and sadly, lower quality. The pupusas revueltas lacked the flavor they used to have and didn’t seem freshly made. We also ordered the “La Familiar” plate for two that was $54, getting only two shrimp each was disappointing. The rice tasted boxed, and overall, the $100 bill for a bland meal was a letdown. I won’t be returning.

We were nearby for the weekend and ate here twice – one dinner and one breakfast. I had pupusas and tamale elote. My husband had the polka cream. For breakfast we had the rancheros and chorizo. Everything was tasty with generous portions. The tamale and thick tortillas were delicious. We have minimal Spanish but they had English speaking staff available. So glad we found this yummy spot.

While picking up an UberEats order in person, I witnessed a cook in the kitchen lick their glove and then immediately continue handling food. This is a serious health code violation and extremely unsanitary.
Additionally, I ordered two atol de elote drinks separately in person. Both were served cold, and upon the first sip, the drink had a clearly rancid taste. Both myself and the other individual who consumed it experienced the same spoiled taste. Shortly after, my stomach began hurting, which is deeply concerning.
Due to these severe food safety and hygiene issues, I will not be returning and believe this matter warrants immediate attention.

First time in Emeritas Restaurant and YOU have to go! It’s the nices little spot with amazing food. The Emeritas is quite the surprise, the service and so much to choose from, wish i had captureda pictureof their extensive selections to order from. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Every time I order they forget something, drinks or sides and if I’m paying $16 per a soup do you think this is worth that money ? Come on get it together food is good but you need to better your Uber food and make sure everything in the orders go to the customers Also make sure the meal is what we pay for .

Last time I called to ordered 10 pupusas to pick them up. When I got home I opened up my order. All my pupusas were BURNT. This was not acceptable. I called them letting them know about the order they didn’t want to believe me. I argued with the lady in charge and she told me about a poster to check your order before you leave. She ended up telling me to return the whole order and she will remake it. Later on she hung up the phone. I returned my whole order and she checked out all of them were burnt. I asked for my refund. For sure I’m not coming back.

Went here with my mother after a long day at the doctors office it was after five and we were very hungry. I ordered the Peruvian chicken, but it was nothing like Peruvian chicken and the rice and beans we’re so so the rice was yellow, which I didn’t really care for and then I wanna say 30 minutes after I got to my mother‘s house I was in the bathroom I went to the bathroom twice my stomach was hurting really bad. I don’t know if it was the Horchata or it was the chicken or I’m not sure what it was, but I’m never coming back. I literally have been sick for the past three days and my mom got a stomachache as well.
