I have to admit from the outside it looked like just another Chinese restaurant, you know the ones where all dishes taste the same full of MSG. Boy I was wrong. The food was delicious, had multiple Asian flavors across all dishes.
I had the fish special which was grouper with mixed vegetables. The grouper was fresh and cooked perfect and so were the vegetables.
Of course girlfriend had beef chow mein, I tried it and loved the smoky flavor along with the fresh onion and noodles.
The lunch special comes with your choice of soup and rice along with egg roll. The egg roll was really good, not just a filler, had great flavors.
The seating space is open, many tables inside. Service was with a smile and consistent, checking on us every few minutes.
Would I go back? YES! Great food at a great price!
I bought a lunch combo, which used to include the meal with rice, egg roll, and soup, but now the soup is not included. The meal was good, but the egg roll was overcooked and flattened somewhat, like it had been cooked on a griddle rather than fried.
I thought the lunch combo price was a bit high, only $3 less than a dinner meal without the egg roll, but the amount of food still filled me up.
The dining room is brighter and nicer than when I last ate there. However, the bench seat was uncomfortably lumpy. The staff and service was great and the food was served after a short period of time.
Jacked up prices by $10.00 a dish over Emerald China Prices.
Restaurant was empty on a Sunday night at 6:00pm
Very limited menu.
Had Shrimp with Lobster sauce price $19.99
Plus had to pay extra with water down Won ton soup $4.95 very small portions more like a lunch portion way too salty.
They brought out the won ton and the entree at same time.
Shrimp was over cooked. The new owner took over 2 months ago do not think they are going to make it.
Poor service and very poor quality of food.
Said they kept the same chefs doubt it.
I have been coming to Emerald China for 22 years will not be back to H& M.
Big fan of the update!! Food and store design is on point.
First off the food taste authentic and flavorful, few dishes we will come back to try!
Aesthetically, the restaurant 1) feels very clean 2) inviting and airy 3)great for big parties
Will be coming back!
This place is no different. It’s good in the sense that it is nearby serveral work places. Very convenient for the working crowd. The restaurant itself is large enough to seat a decent amount and I have yet to see it at full capacity. Don’t have to worry about beating any lunch crowds here.
The food is well, if you see one Chinese fast food place you pretty much know what to expect in terms of options. Won’t go too deep in details there. One word to describe most of the dishes would be “oily”. I mean most Chinese fast food is but this place is on level of its own. Taste is okay and I would even say its better than some other similar places nearby.
Would I go here again? Maybe. We’ll see. When you got to eat, you got to eat!
