“You don’t need no teeth to eat our beef” Amazing BBQ, we travel to Mammoth at least once a year and just found out about this place.
Please take our word for it, it’s worth it and tasty.
The costumer service is accommodating. The two owners greeted us with a smile and hooked it up with a free Brazilian limeade. Thank you so much! We ordered the brisket and a laminate, both tasted fresh and well made. I highly recommended this place in Mammoth. This place is much better than most restaurants in Mammoth. Don’t miss out! You get your moneys worth.

The gem of Mammoth! When you are up here you have to come and try it out. Best BBQ in the area, hands down!! Delicious meat with amazing sauces. The sides were to die for. The owner at Embers, Drake, was super cool and inviting. Great pit master. If you ever want to have authentic Texan BBQ, Embers is the place. Thank you for the delicious meal. Will be back every time I am in town. As someone who frequently travels to Texas and enjoys BBQ, this gem is it for Texan BBQ in California. The brisket is worth the drive to Embers.

It’s really had to make good bbq and it was solid here.
Brisket plate – 4/5 was extremely tender just like the reviews said but was dry. Brisket my favorite meat so I’m kinda picky. Solid though and gets the craving out the way. Might have been a bad batch or something because smoking and tenderness its hard to find the perfect balance.
Cosmic chicken plate – 5/5 not one to usually get chicken at bbq places but we did so after the reviews. Good smoked chicken, soft easy to bite through, soooo flavorful. Was just biting with my teeth and didn’t have to use any utensils. Didn’t have to use any sauce with this. Was delicious on its own.
Cornbread – 5/5 delicious soft corny perfect
Chili beans – 5/5 basically spicy chili and delicious
Potato salad – 3/5 potatoes were still tough to but through and large. Good though.
Coleslaw- 2/5 not coleslaw just balsamic glaze cabbage salad. It was good, just not coleslaw.
Lemonade – 2/5 thought it would be yummy and sour but it was pretty watered down and not lemony at all. Was so excited for this and sad it was meh.
Location – in an office plaza industrial parking lot, three tables or so and some light shade, could bring ur dogs too!

I enjoyed all of it and the cabbage was especially good with an excellent dressing. Definitely not some average chefs here. I think it’s overall a great value as well. I am no BBQ expert but the brisket was pulling apart and looked and tasted properly smoked. Definitely returning soon. I hope everyone gives these guys a shot! I don’t usually go for BBQ but this place is quality and great price point.

We had the ribs, brisket, and elk sausage and they were all FANTASTIC. The meats were super tender and flavorful, and the BBQ sauce a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. We come to Mammoth a lot and this is a great find. Emberz is in an industrial park and you eat at picnic tables in the area, but there’s still great views of the mountains. We will be back again.

Excellent brisket! Good flavor, tender moist. Cabbage salad a tasty side. The beans were nicely seasoned with a bit of heat. Owner takes pride in his food and was a delight to talk to.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch and were seriously impressed. The brisket was incredibly tender with a great smoky flavor and just the right amount of bark. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious with a dry rub that really hit the mark. You can tell they put care and time into the smoking process.
We tried the potato salad and some pickled veggies on the side—both were excellent and worth getting again.
It’s a relaxed, no-frills kind of place with friendly staff and fast service. When the food’s this good, that’s all you need. I’ll absolutely be back.

I do not write reviews at all, but I had really high hopes for this place based on other reviews and was severely let down. I ordered the brisket and chicken with a side of cornbread and coleslaw. The brisket was extremely dry and tough with absolutely no flavor. The side of barbecue sauce was the only reason I finished the brisket besides the fact that I spent $28 dollars for the plate… The chicken was tender but had no seasoning and flavor which also needed a ridiculous amount of barbecue sauce to even become edible. The cornbread had decent flavor but was very dry. The only thing I can be happy with was the the service, excellent people, I am just overly disappointed with the food.

Absolutely delicious, we tried the brisket and chicken, both were fantastic. The beans, potato salad, and cabbage were also top notch. The potato salad has a super good flavor I can’t quite put my finger on, but man it’s delicious. What a great spot!
