Dine overlooking the 18th green at this Richard Blais steakhouse…of sorts. This delightful collaboration with acclaimed chef and television personality offers delectable steaks and fresh seafood dishes rooted in fine local ingredients, served in a casual, vintage clubhouse setting located at the signature Arnold Palmer designed Aviara Golf Club.

Our anniversary dinner at the Aviara Golf Club clubhouse was one of our most memorable dining experiences to date. The atmosphere is stunning—modern, upscale, and bright with beautiful views of the grounds.
The service truly set the evening apart. Our server, Erica, was exceptional; she guided us through the specials and helped us curate the perfect assortment of dishes to share. Following her lead, we had the spiny lobster and Australian Wagyu, both of which were amazing and the clear stars of the meal. The cocktails and garlic croissants were a great start as well, and the kitchen even treated us to a delicious chocolate mousse cake to celebrate our anniversary.
If you want a refined meal with top-tier service, this is the spot, and we’re looking forward to returning soon!

My girlfriend and I had a lovely lunch during the SD Restaurant week. The 3 course menu had excellent options for $40 each. She had the pear and beet salad starter, bucatini pasta main, and lemon yuzu dessert. I had the calamari starter, steak frites main, and S’mores cake for dessert. All were fantastic overlooking the nearby golf course and Batiquitos lagoon! My favorite bites were the crispy calamari and the lemon yuzu parfait. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant has amazing views of the Aviara golf course and we’ve visited the past few years even before they changed the name to Ember & Rye. Maria, Letty and Leo are friendly and helpful in seating us at an outdoor table with good shades and taking care of us. They paid attention to fill up our iced tea and water. It’s very dog friendly, our furry friend got a bowl of water as well. We ordered calamari fritti (the size is smaller over the years), beet and pear salad (very good & refreshing), Caesar salad (artichoke is a good ingredient) is a bit over dressed, the pastrami sandwich (good fries, excellent kimchi sauce, but the pastrami itself is a bit tough) and pear pavlova (the cream tastes like curd, the meringue topping is hard). We didn’t order steak this time which is their forte…

I didn’t want to like this place . But it started off with garlic croissants for the table and I knew I was a goner . The drinks are well balanced with a huge variety go choose from . The staff made us feel right at home and just lavished us with attention . Our server, Erica , was awesome . Her recommendations were spot on . We shared a lot of apps and none of them were disappointing. I got a perfectly seared and flavorful steak . I’ll be swinging by for the happy hour . I hear great things . Treat yo self !

We enjoyed this amazing restaurant in Sept. Erica was the absolute best server. Super knowledgeable on the menu. Very impressive, just like the food and drink. The dry aged ribeye was amazing! Very fun and delicious place. Highly recommend. Ask for Erica!

Outstanding service, atmosphere and food! We loved the wagyu steaks, whipped potatoes and wine. I personally loved the corn crime brûlée concept dish (although my husband didn’t like it because it’s definitely out there, haha!)—so unique and delicious!
A huge shout out to our absolutely wonderful waiter, Jeremiah. Thank you for your kindness, professionalism and amazing service! And thank you for helping to celebrate my birthday!

Had brunch here during Father’s Day weekend and we all had a great meal. I was raised in San Diego and my family still lives there so I have been to many different restaurants in this same building, Ember & Rye being the newest edition, which is another Richard Blais restaurant, who I am a big fan of. Last time I was here it was Argyle Steakhouse but I will say that Ember & Rye is an upgrade. The interior is beautifully done and it’s very open, spacious, and has a very classy look to it. I know they also serve dinner as my family has been a few times and they say that the steaks are fabulous. Parking is extremely easy, free, and plentiful right out front of the restaurant. Our server was also very polite and so was the rest of the staff that we encountered. It has great views of the lagoon in the back and is just a very peaceful place to have a nice meal.
This particular morning, I was more in a lunch mood than a breakfast mood, which is rare for me because I am a big breakfast fan, so I decided to start my meal with a Wedge Salad and thought it was really nice. It was filled with all the delicious parts of the wedge, and they definitely did not skimp on ingredients. Next, I followed up with the Wagyu Cheeseburger and thought it was honestly really good. It was packed full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and overall I just really enjoyed it. I already plan to come back next time I’m in town to have dinner here and would suggest this location to anyone in the area.

We came here a couple months ago for lunch but it was quite average, so I didn’t leave a review. This time we came for dinner and it was excellent. I had the boneless ribeye and the butter sauce was amazing. Another from our party had the filet and he said it was close to as good as he has ever had. I’m glad we gave this place a 2nd chance.

We went to this restaurant one night while I was staying at La Costa in Carlsbad. It’s a beautiful room and a nice vibe. We had great service at the bar. And the food was really good except one dish was a bit over salty (creamed spinach) which I couldn’t eat. All the other side dishes and the rib eye were great! Overall, a great experience and we will definitely go back.
