We came here for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary dinner, and overall it was a wonderful experience! Our server (I can’t remember his name, but he was near the bar) was absolutely amazing, attentive, kind, and made our night feel special. The food was a 10/10, some of the best I’ve had in a long time! The lamb chops were by far the best I’ve tried anywhere.
The only thing I did notice was feeling slightly uncomfortable due to some looks from another staff member in a nearby section. It may not have been intentional, but it made us feel a bit judged. I truly do believe no one should be judged based on appearance or age, especially in a fine dining setting.
Aside from that, we had a great anniversary dinner and would still recommend the food!

We were a party of four that came in on Valentine’s Day. We were seated right away with our reservation. The waiter was friendly and the food came relatively quickly. Appetizers tasted amazing but small portions with a high price. The house wine was great for the price though. While waiting for our food the owner came by and introduced himself and chatted for a bit. He was very nice.
Minutes later, our food came and we did order two different pizzas and the waiter even heard and repeated what we ordered so I am unsure why we got two of the same pizzas. Oh well, mistakes happen! No biggie. When the owner came back shortly after, we told him very reluctantly about the mix up and he was so kind and told us to keep it for to snack on and wait for the other pizza order to come, as well as comped our drinks. Absolutely unnecessary but incredibly generous! Also, the pizzas were delicious. I would absolutely come back to the restaurant. It was a great place to go for a celebration where spending a little extra is worth it.

I love Ember. It’s my favorite place to eat on the island. If you go on Mondays there is a super fun trivia game. A lot of people like the pizza, which is great, however I actually think they do vegetables even better than they do pizza. The roasted roosts, the crispy brussel sprouts and the beet salad are all amazing. Lovely cocktails too.

We had their excellent lamb lollipops for our appetizer. My wife had the Meatzilla fire bread and I had the Hot Lei. Meatzilla was excellent. Hot Lei was good.
Service was excellent. Our only frustration was with a group two tables over that felt it necessary to speak loudly enough for other tables to hear clearly.
I’d go back.

We had a reservation and we’re seated promptly – served water and given menus. The waiter was pleasant, knowledgeable and very efficient. The NY strip steak was tasty but very large- served with mediocre potatoes and mushrooms that all looked the same on the plate. Shrimp Scampi appetizer had plenty of shrimp and hot but shells were left on ( difficult to eat) and pretty salty. The Greek salad was delicious and could have served as my whole meal. The bread was ok but overpriced. Over all, it was a somewhat disappointing experience despite being highly rated.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The wait staff was attentive even when they weren’t our waiter. The steak and chicken entrees were SO DELIGHTFUL! It was a great spot for date night. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I ate here last night for my birthday. It was incredible. The service was great. Trey was awesome. As for the food , it blew me away. This was only the second time I’ve been to Ember since they’ve opened, I guess I just didn’t realize how good the food was. I got the pork. Everything about the dish was incredible. The pimento mac and cheese was great. It had a slight kick to it, which I loved. The blistered green beans were great. Super fresh tasting and salted just right. The pork chop was savory and delicious. The flavors with the maple bourbon glaze and the bacon and onion jam were perfect. I can’t say enough about how good everything was. Definitely a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Fresh, unique food. Great drinks. And outstanding service. Well done Ember.

We chose this place to have a nice dinner back in August, and we made the right choice. Every dish we had was incredible, and the decor and ambiance were perfection. We were lucky to have the entire back room to ourselves, which was really a shame, because this restaurant is so good it should always be packed. I hope to return the next time I find myself down on the island!

Ember – Farm to Fire

My son brought me to Ember as part of my Christmas gift and I must say it is in the top running for best gift ever. We did have reservations and they are easy to make on their website. We arrived during one of their live music events so we got entertained while eating this amazing meal.

The set up is pretty unique, when you walk in you see their amazing wood oven and it definitely caught my eye. It’s beautiful and functional art that helps them create their pizzas. Behind that you get a great view of the kitchen and the rest is the main dining room. To the right is a separate room that is made up of a bar, a pool table, and some lounging couches. To the left of the dining room is the outdoor patio area. This is where we sat.

Appetizers was such a tough call. Every single item sounded so delicious. We decided on the meatballs and the bread with black garlic and EVOO. The meatballs were the best I have ever had. They were soft and full of flavor and covered in a homemade marinara. The balance of the sweetness in the sauce was perfect, which is hard to do in a restaurant setting. I find sauces from restaurants too sweet. If Hansel and Gretel were real they would prefer a house made of these meatballs every day! The bread was spectacular. I bake my own bread at home and I was so impressed with the bread. It had the texture and floof of a standard bread loaf but the flavor of a ciabatta. Glazed with butter and topped with flakey sea salt it was absolutely perfect, dipping it in their olive oil with black garlic was out of this world for my taste buds. They may never move on and accept my standard bread recipe now that they had that.

When our mains came out I was already feeling full. However, we each ordered the 14 oz steak and I’m not about to bring that home. I’m not sure the picture does it justice. The steak is paired with fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and all is covered with a sauce, I’m not sure what kind of glitter (metaphorical glitter…magic) they put in that sauce but it was this magical thing, as if a au jus and a Demi-Glacé had a baby. To make things even better I am still confused on the cut of beef it actually was. It had the beautiful flavor and tenderness of a ribeye but without the fat and the muscle texture was even. On the drive home me and my son determined that whatever cow was used it led a happy existence and had to have been extremely relaxed when processed. Somehow I don’t think the farm will change their slogan to reflect that but it was in fact, the best steak I’ve ever had and I can cook a perfect steak.

Now the hard part of the meal came, dessert. Every single one sounded amazing but I had already eaten a weeks worth of meat and carbs and my diabetes and fullness did not allow me to even consider another bite. So of course I ordered dessert to go and this morning, when I woke up I had my insulin ready because there was no way I wasn’t going to not eat the fried poundcake with berries and whipped cream to start my day the same way I ended yesterday, with fabulous food.

So all that to say, get out and try Ember Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed.
