It’s located very conveniently on I-610 East Exit Canal Blvd, near Delgado and City park area.
The food is served hot and freshly cooked. The quality, quantity and reasonably priced. Not like over priced like other Indian restaurants in Metairie, Kenner and New Orleans.

Laid back dinner and we loved it. Chana masala was very good although I wish there was a bit more of the soupy sauce; it was mostly the chicken and chickpea mix, which was delicious (4/5). The rice was good but could be fresher (4/5). The naan bread was good but not phenomenal, it’s very thin (maybe I’m a bad judge here idk, but 3/5). People have said the Lusani shrimp was mid but we all really liked it (5/5). Would come back again. It’s a small resto so people complaining about one restroom, it happens. Get over it. Service was fast.

Ember is an absolute culinary paradise! I’m obsessed! I revisited and had the pleasure of indulging in their mouth-watering Gobi Manchurian, refreshing Mango Lassi, signature Chetinad Chicken, and delectable Garlic Naan. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the rich flavors and spices of South Indian cuisine. The hospitality was top-notch, with warm and attentive service that made us feel right at home. If you’re a fan of South Indian food, or just looking to spice up your dining experience, Ember is an absolute MUST-VISIT! The attention to detail, the love for the cuisine, and the passion for serving great food shines through in every bite. I’m already planning my next visit!

They were struggling with service when I went, but the food was so good I forgot about it. Probably the best Indian food I’ve had in the city. We had Tikka Masala and the Chetinad.

We ordered chili gobi and Chettinad with lamb. The cauliflower was perfectly crisp and the lamb was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Both dishes were flavorful. We had the garlic naan and cheese Naan which was amazing. Great quality and presentation — I would definitely order these again. Our server was fantastic. Great place for Indian food.

Went for a impromptu date night. The vibe is cool; there’s a laid back presence which is nice. we ordered 2 small plates and then we each got our own dinner. We were STUFFED with all this food. I had to take my fried noodles with shrimp to-go!

Overall, enjoyed the food and environment. My partner thought the food was a bit too spicy, but I didn’t mind it.

The Chicken biryani was really good. Food was not spicy so if you want it a little bit spicy, make sure to tell them in advance. Chef made special chai(tea) for us according to our taste.

I have driven by here several times now, I only recently stopped in for a lunch during a weekday that I had off. I was told to pick my own table. I got the chicken masala with the garlic naan. Let me tell you, it was amazing. I even had enough for leftovers. Great service, friendly wait staff. I look forward to coming back.

I recently visited Ember, the newest Indian restaurant in the neighborhood to take over a former coffee shop (and gas station way back when), and I was absolutely blown away!
Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and clearly made with care.
The chili chicken stole the show with its vibrant red sauce and perfect balance of spice and flavor. The dish was rich and tangy, with tender pieces of chicken and chunks of peppers and onions that added a nice crunch. It had just the right amount of heat to keep things exciting.
The samosa was another favorite! The crispy, golden exterior gave way to a flavorful filling of spiced potatoes and peas, with a subtle kick that sneaks up on you in the best way. It was served fresh and perfectly fried—an ideal appetizer.
The curry chicken was more on the mild side compared to the chili chicken, but it didn’t skimp on flavor. The creamy sauce had a beautiful depth, with warm spices that were comforting and satisfying. The chicken was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with some naan from their menu.
Speaking of the menu, it offers a wide range of options for every palate, from vegetarian entrees to flavorful biryanis. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was amazing. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Indian food. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
