This place is GREAT! I had the Pan Fried Flounder and it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be! My wife had the Breakfast Croissant and Beignets and they were amazing as well! We picked this place based off of the reviews and the fact that they had flounder and we were not disappointed! If you get a chance, stop by. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Excellent patty melt (burgers), not much more to say. Will be going back to try more off the breakfast side of the menu.

Update: Went back with my girls for brunch. We tried a lot of things. The food was all so good. I upgraded it to 5 stars. This is in my top 2 for brunch places in Lafayette. Everything we tried was amazing. The staff was super friendly. We went on a Sunday. They have a breakfast buffet at 10:45. I wish i would have waited on that. I will next time. Every on it look is scrumptious.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve enjoyed a phenomenal breakfast at Ema’s. Why? Because they never ever disappoint, it’s so close to my house being near Ambassador and Johnston, and prices are reasonable. This morning I went back to the Seafood Omelet adding a side of bacon. Stuffed with gulf shrimp and covered in Louisiana crawfish, what could be better?! My friend had the amazing Cajun Benedict which is always so delicately perfect. Ema has won many culinary awards for good reason. Try it and you will for sure agree. When I have out-of-town friends and family in town, I amaze them here.

His sister restaurant, accessible from Ema’s or the side entrance, has gourmet Indian cuisine and a great Sunday bruch.

I somehow never realized Ema’s served breakfast until recently, when I searched Google Maps for a place to grab some food in the morning. This place was a hit!

Service was on top of things from the get-go and was very kind and accommodating the entire time my party was there. I quite enjoyed the music being played while I was eating (The Smiths, etc.), the tables were spaced out comfortably for the small section in which we were seated, the food was served promptly and hot, and I loved everything I ordered.

From experience, I can happily recommend the expensive, but delightful, Beignets. They’re cut small, so if you like, you can simply pop one into your mouth with little to no chance of exhaling powdered sugar all over your clothes, as with a larger one. They are also served with honey, which reminded me of sopapillas and was delicious. I also ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict with scrambled eggs instead of poached ones. For my sides, I got the Fruit and chose the Breakfast Potatoes instead of Grits. The whole thing was completely satisfying – we left the restaurant happy and full.

What an absolute delight of a dining experience. I honestly can’t wait to go back and explore their lunch menu.

Beignets are the best around in my opinion. Everything we had was fantastic. Especially recommend the Crab cake Bennie and the Cajun Bennie!

I love the idea of brunch all day. I have the Bananas Foster Pancakes with a side of eggs, bacon, and toast. The pancakes were good but so big and they were a bit bready and very delicate. To much like cake. Not my favorites, but I did love the bananas Foster syrup and bananas. Wish there was more of it for the three thick pancakes. I love to dip my bread in egg yolks but the eggs were a little over cooked. My yolks were mostly cooked through. But everything looked good and my friends food looked great. I will come back to try something else.
