We really enjoyed our family dinner at Ema – the food, service and ambiance were all exceptional. We tried the corn hummus, crispy potatoes am various salads for appetizers; shrimp and lemon skewers as well as slow braised short for the main course… all delicious choices. The various spritzes and desserts were a hit as well. We lived the atmosphere and our server’s attentiveness. All in all, a delightful evening. Highly recommend!

I loved everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and beautiful. The service—from the host to our server, Ashley—was impeccable, warm, and perfectly timed. From start to finish, the food was absolutely mouthwatering, with presentation worthy of a Top Chef finale.
Every dish was worth the price, and I would absolutely return if I’m in the area again. Favorites included the classic hummus, beets with green goddess avocado, mushroom “escargot,” shrimp kebab dish, and the honey cake for dessert (all desserts are made from scratch!).

Beautiful Ambiance.. but we were not much impressed by food. When we went it was pretty full and crowded, but yet we were impressed by the ambiance. we ordered schwarma and Chicken Kafta Kabab dish.. the schwarma came with bunch of lettus leafs and very limited quantity for the price we paid. Not sure if it was becuase it was too busy, but it took around 40 minutes for our food to arrive. With my taste buds, for me the food was not up to the mark. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. I loved their Pita.

The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic and offers a great mix of Mediterranean flavors in a warm, inviting setting. We started with the charred eggplant dip, which was phenomenal, very creamy with a rich, deep flavor. The hummus was good, though I would have liked it to be a bit creamier. The pita was fresh, warm, and topped with delicious za’atar. The falafel was very good and extremely crispy. The salad was fresh, and I liked the added crunch from the pomegranate seeds along with the acidity mixed with the Brussels sprouts and apples. The kefta had good spices. The dill rice served with it was very good.
The skirt steak was very good, though I didn’t taste much of the spices on the steak itself. I would have preferred it without the sauce, but the fries with za’atar were excellent. The salmon was delicious. It was grilled really with a great smoky flavor and was very meaty and moist. The crispy potatoes were good, though I would have preferred them crispier under the skin. For dessert, they brought out a birthday treat for my mom and fiancée of frozen Greek yogurt with strawberry sauce, which was excellent! It was light, creamy, and sweet with the delicious strawberry sauce on top. Overall, this was a great birthday celebration, and we will definitely be back!

We are celebrating our anniversary and Marc made our visit an absolute delight! Service was on point. Even staff that wasn’t obligated to clear our table, made sure we didn’t sit with dirty plates. A beautiful interior, I absolutely LOVED taking photos here, the ambiance was sooo classy and it made me feel very special for my birthday!! Food was unique and delicious, although the portion sizes were on the smaller side (makes sense, since this place is higher end). I’d suggest getting kebabs/meat dishes to be properly filled up alongside all the spreads and the salads. Overall, lovely experience and wonderful for special occasions

First and last time ordering from Ema in Glenview.
The food was completely inedible. Everything was overwhelmingly salty and over-seasoned to the point we couldn’t finish it. The $40 skirt steak came as four tiny pieces of meat — an embarrassing portion for that price.
My wife’s village salad was nothing more than a bowl of plain vegetables with zero flavor or substance. The grilled chicken kabab was undercooked and tasted awful. The rice was just as bad.
For what they charge, this was unacceptable. Extremely disappointing experience and a total waste of money.

We had a great experience at Ema! The food was incredibly tasty, the serving is beautiful. The atmosphere is great too – very relaxing and contemporary. It’s a bit difficult if you got 4 people and you all have coats – no space at the table and sofa to place them, but we were helped by the servers – they kept our coats and gave them back to us at the end. Very happy with this place and hoping to visit again in the future ☺️

Omg…this place really threw me for a loop. Made a birthday reservation for my fiancé, without even looking at the menu. When we got to the restaurant, the vibe was nice and the decor was fancy but not too fancy. The menu was kind of overwhelming because there were a lot of things that were new to me. But let me tell ya, the food was absolutely AMAZING!!! The service was top notch and we will definitely be back !!! DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE !!!!
