Great food and vibes.
This is one of those menus where you wish you had a week in town to try everything – creative dishes and ingredients sourced from local farmers.
I went with the walleye fillet and it was outstanding!
It’s always nice to stumble upon a place like this on the plains—proof that the region offers far more than just steakhouses and bars.

The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, and surprisingly, it wasn’t too busy on graduation weekend. We arrived at 12:15 and were promptly seated. The bartender/waitress were both very friendly and attentive. I found the breakfast-old fashioned to be a bit too syrupy for my taste, but it was still good, especially considering the bartender had to make it without maple bourbon.
Now, moving on to the food: the fish and chips were excellent, featuring a crisp batter, and the coleslaw was also enjoyable. The red wine mushrooms with polenta, however, didn’t meet my expectations; it was decent, but it definitely needed more flavor. While the beet salad was a hot salad, the issue was that the plate was too hot, which damaged the lettuce. This is something that could certainly be improved.
Overall, considering the price, you definitely get your money’s worth. If we’re in the area again, we may return. One note: parking is on the street downtown, which could be an issue if it’s busy.

Ordered the pickle dip today, very disappointed. It did not have any pickle or dill flavored to it. It was a good dip however there was no pickle flavor to it. The whole point I ordered the dip was because I wanted pickles. The food was good. The walleye did have one small bone in it however that happens I’m not concerned about that. And the apple crumble dessert was very good!
I would go back. But I may hold off on the dip.

The place offers great food (I’ve tried the Shepherd’s Pie) and the website is easy to navigate. The feedback I have is that I made an order for curbside pickup and gave the restaurant a call when I reached about an hour later, but the waitress inside rudely hung up saying she’ll bring it out but didn’t do so until I walked in 5 minutters later and asked for my order after which she came running out with my order like she had no idea I had called a few minutes earlier.
I would have no problem walking in and picking my order up, but I don’t see why this is necessary when there’s a curbside pickup option on the website + with the waitress giving an attitude like she’s doing me a favor.
Overall, the food is great but don’t be surprised if you experience rude conduct.

I enjoy this restaurant the majority of the time. Love most of the menu items. Today tried something different, was plesently surprised and disappointed. The first item was the corned beef dip with homemade potato chips, great flavors, wonderfully prepared chips, and delicious.
The second item we ordered was the fried cheese curds and pickle appetizer. When it came out, it looked like someone just took a handful of cheesecurds and pickles, through them into a batter in one lump, then proceeded to put that lump into the oil. The flavor was not great. The cheesecurds were no longer curds and just melty piles, and they used bread and butter pickles. It was definitely not my favorite.
Overall, the staff is always friendly and responsive, will not hinder my return, but definitely will be more cautious tryingnew dishes in the future.

Recently moved here from Pennsylvania, and this is my favorite restaurant so far! The food is always good, timely service, and the atmosphere is nice. I definitely recommend their artichoke as an appetizer! My husband loves their rueben sandwich. If you’re looking for a little Friday cocktail their lemon drop is good!

Love the atmosphere. Staff was very good and helpful! Full bar with a good selection of spirits. I’d like to see more beers on the menu! The food was great. We tried the Pickle Dip for an app, the Kentucky Fried Rabbit and the Camel Burger for entree’s, and the mini chocolate cake for desert. We will definitely be back!

The walleye fish was cooked perfectly and very delicious. Love the unusual choices including an cajun alligator dish and a ground camel burger. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Had to request water refills, ask for plates in order to eat the hot appetizers already served, and ask for the waitress to clear away used appetizer plates. Would’ve been nice to have a candle or even a flower on the table for the price of the dinners. Restrooms were clean. Not very generous servings which could’ve been easy to include a larger portion of rice. Was not impressed with the fried appetizers. Location nice and appreciated being able to sit outside

It was a Monday on a federal holiday and most restaurants were closed, so we ended up here. Rae was awesome. She was working the tables by herself without missing a beat. We ordered the fish and “chips” and the German Bratwurst. The brat came with mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. It was delicious. The reason I have the “chips” in quotations, is because they were French fries instead of wedges. Overall, I would definitely return.
