My first time at Elyon- definitely won’t be the last. The food was fresh and delicious! Honestly, the best fritaille I’ve had outside of my mom’s kitchen. Nothing fancy, just classic, tasty Haitian food. The restaurant has comfortable, plentiful seating for one to dine or wait for their food.

TERRIBLE FOOD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE
NEVER IN MY LIFE DID I HAVE OXTAILS THAT TASTE LIKE VINEGAR, and I had to beg her to but gravy on the rice
The turkey was EXTREMELY DRY Just like the lady serving me.
Just RUDE AND NASTY
Rating them a 1 star is being generous.
DONT EAT HERE.

Poor customers service. When I placed order over the phone, never ready. Sometimes fritaille tasted good, other time tasted salty, meat not fully cooked. At times feel like as if the oil needed to be change or something. They food taste good sometimes.

There’s a young inexperienced underaged girl taking orders. She’s taking out food, handling money, and taking phone orders. Just one person handling everything up front. She has a negative attitude and does not understand the concept of quality customer service. I waited almost an hour before getting the food. The worst thing to me was when the owner came from the kitchen and put food in her hand and ate in front of everyone. I find that to be very tacky. Next time, I will find another restaurant to buy Haitian food. Overall bad service.

Poor customer service. Waited for almost an hour and they gave my fritay to a Spanish lady, then they talk to me like I was begging for food. And they never want me to choose what I want in my fritay, mind you I’m allergic to akra and don’t really like fried plantains. They need to work on their customer service.

Coming in you’ll see trays upon trays behind a glass panel FULL of fried meats. The smell is just incredible. Based on reviews, I did call ahead to ask how long it’d take and in 15 minutes, I was at the shop with a very generous helping of fried pork, pickled vegetables, chicken stew sauce, salad, and a WHOLE platter of rice.
Look, just call ahead. See what the wait is like. When I came in, it was start to rain and it was around 415. Even then, there was a family ahead of me. Just be patient.
As for those that don’t speak french creole and are scared to come in. Don’t be. They know a bit of english too. Worst case scenario? Just point and choose. Whatever, it’s damn good, home style haitian food. Nothing fancy to discuss. Come visit!

Don’t ever come to this fritaille restaurant in the evening. The evening staff has no respect for women and will definitely let men skip the line. Also the way the staff speaks to customers is truly deplorable. The wait was outrageous, and the staff was super slow. Almost purposely slow! I waited almost 50 mins and every 15 mins or so the server would ask me what I ordered? Then when my food was ready, she handed it to someone else, her reason being that wasn’t my order, I ordered griot not Tasso. When I definitely ordered Tasso. When I spoke to the manager about the situation she didn’t care, and looked bothered. I will never hand this establishment my hard earned money. Don’t do it yourself. **many customers walked out that night***
Thank you for listening.
