Elwood offers comforting and authentic meals. Each dish tells a story, showcasing native ingredients that define Pennsylvania. The flavors are honest and soulful—rich without excess, simple yet satisfying.

From slow-cooked meats and handmade breads to seasonal vegetables and preserved specialties, the food reflects a strong connection to the land and its history. Family style dishes are at the heart of every meal.

I will definitely return and bring friends and family, so they can experience the joy of what family meals should be all about…love.

Elwood was a lovely spot for high tea! The space was clean and tidy with plenty of room at the tables. Cute teapots and cups added a charming touch, and the tea tasted super fresh. The food was a standout — the salad, breads, spreads, and snacks — all clearly made with care. The owner served us and was very kind. The back patio wasn’t open but looked really cute. Overall, a great experience, especially for the price!

I have been to many restaurants in different countries, I can count on my fingers the times a chef come to the table to greet you and show you the dishes before serving. The food was amazing, service one of the best. I have nothing bad to say about this place, I am so happy we found this gem.
It was truly an amazing experience for us, and we will definitely come back with family and friends.

Have known Adam for years and he continues to go above and beyond with his food choices, presentation, and hospitality. Will occasionally drop off some game we hunted and he makes it into some top tier deliciousness.

Keeps it interesting with tea happy hours, an always changing menu, and private party options

My husband and I really enjoyed Elwood! Such a different place and it’s a BYOB which is always a plus. We had the potato rolls, cheese board and duck and all were delicious and so unique. So many great homemade jams and sauces accompanying the meal, The chef was so nice and even got my husband some medicine when he wasn’t feeling well. The decor, plates and cutlery all contributed to the vibe- highly recommend and hope to come back soon

Such a lovely place with great food. The restaurant has a handful of tables and it seems that they turned a row home into a restaurant. It almost feels like you’re invited to the owner’s house.

We had pierogi, bison steak, and funnel cake. Pierogi was one of the best I’ve had. It was so soft inside but still has a great texture outside. Braised meat served with the pierogi was also really good. Bison steak was cooked perfect and the side dishes made it fun. The chili sauce and red sauce were really good! The portion is generous and it was a lot for two although we finished cause it was so good. We ended with a funnel cake which was so good and the strawberry jelly was so fresh and delicious.

This place has a really good vibe. We saw a couple sharing their wine to other table from another country because they didn’t know it was BYOB. Everyone was so nice to each other and the owner and staff were very kind and professional too.

It is definitely one the most unique restaurant in Philadelphia and the price is very reasonable considering the portion and the quality. Also it’s BYOB so that’s also a huge plus!

Went for our anniversary and boy was it the right choice – Incredible meal, the chef came out to provide excellent background on our dishes which were all delicious and traditional with a creative flair. 10/10

Only note is to remember its BYOB, we brought some bottled old fashioneds with us which paired wonderfully, but a couple of other tables did not realize they had to bring their own drinks

What a cute and interesting hidden gem!! Tea time was such a cute and intimate date, I highly recommend. The owner and our server were so welcoming and kind. The greens were so recently picked and all of the food was flavorful and fresh.

Beautiful space and food presentation, friendly staff, and hearty food! We got the capon, spinach salad, and potato rolls. I love all of them – they tasted like they were made with whole ingredients and intentionally. We also got complimentary snickerdoodle cookies because the chef insisted we end with something sweet.
