This place can be summarized with the word “wow”. We got in around 1pm and found a parking spot no problem. Service was impeccable – we are not from the area and our waitress Reagan had no problem telling us what’s popular and answering our questions. Food took a minute to come out but when it did, just wow. Everything IS and, rightly so, tastes homemade. You should absolutely come to this place if you’re going through the city.

What a cool and eclectic place! Always love finding local favorites and this one is at the top of the list for Baton Rouge. We stopped here for lunch and ate at the bar due to them being extremely busy. The pork skins and queso appetizer is amazing. I had the avocado sandwich and brussels sprouts – both wonderful. Check this one out for sure! A+ doing a lot of things right here.

This was a great dining experience Everything we had was delicious and we’ll be looking for an opportunity to eat here again. It’s been almost a month since we ate here and I think about the Big Better Blue salad often. It’s the first salad where my wife didn’t ask for more dressing. What’s neat though is that the dressing was kind of at the bottom of the salad so if you don’t like a lot you could adjust by not mixing it all in. I don’t know if that was the intent but it worked for us. This place has a ton of high reviews so I bet they consistently put out a great product. I can’t wait to find out for myself, though.

It’s more spacious than it appears from the outside. The red beans and rice w/chicken was really good and the avocado salad too. However, the blueberry fluff and almond joy was the best thing we tried. Will definitely go back next time in town.

Fantastic options, even for a vegetarian! Ask for their drink menu. They have an impressive beer selection (I had no idea)! I went with a coffee stout.

Elsie’s is a must for every trip I make to Baton Rouge. I have dined in this restaurant, as of now, four times, and I have yet to have an ordinary meal. The savory pies feature local cuisine with seafood and fresh veggies. I want to have each one, but I do not live in Baton Rouge.

First time here. Great restaurant and place to grab a beer. Meal was excellent and service was prompt and friendly. You have to try a piece of pie for dessert too.

What a delightful customer service experience! The cuisine was certainly satisfying, although the ambiance had an even greater impact on my evening. The food may not have left a lasting impression, I definitely return solely for their divine pies.
