I’m sorry. This place sucks. Three different dishes and not a single one was remotely enjoyable. Fries taste like the oil was bad. The tenders as well. Horrible. 201 burger. Please. Change the name. It doesn’t represent nj. Soup was blah. I had high hopes.

Classic done right in my opinion. The eggs Benedict hit every note, perfectly poached eggs with velvety hollandaise that didn’t overpower, and a toasted English muffin with just the right bite. The beef hash was the real hitter, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to my liking.

Shoutout to my waitress Karlie for the coffee.

Absolutely loved my experience at Elmwood Park Diner! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a cozy, classic diner atmosphere. The service was top-notch – our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Apple Pie pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage. It was perfectly cooked, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. My family had the pancakes as well and raved about how fluffy and flavorful they were. Honestly, everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible.

The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. It’s the perfect spot for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a comforting dinner.

Elmwood Park Diner has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite local diners. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a true diner experience. Five stars all the way!

I had an excellent meal at Elmwood Park Diner and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great dining experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect.

I ordered the “Sloppy Joe Sandwich”, and it was delicious. Just a heads-up for fellow New Jersey Sloppy Joe fans, for whatever reason they prepared it more like a traditional Reuben, meaning it’s heated and grilled. I found this odd because they have a Reuben on the menu too. I didn’t know when ordering they would heat it up and grill it because it wasn’t noted on the menu and I wasn’t asked if I wanted it heated. I was expecting a COLD sandwich, which is how it is supposed to be. Maybe the server and cooks are confused between the two sandwiches and think the names are interchangeable. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it the way it was prepared hot, but if you’re looking for the classic cold “New Jersey Sloppy Joe” with cold coleslaw and Russian dressing on soft rye, be sure to let them know when ordering. I will definitely do so the next time because if I wanted a Rueben I would have ordered one especially seeing there is one on the menu.

Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Elmwood Park Diner is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be back!

I don’t get to visit jersey much but when I do, I stop at Elmwood park diner. The food is delicious and the portions are plentiful. The price is reasonable and the service is always excellent. Sundays can be busy but they do get you in as fast as they can. Consider paying with cash, you’ll leave smiling like you won the lottery

I live in New York, but stop by this diner whenever I’m somewhat near the neighborhoods of Elmwood Park or Paramus.

The restaurant is immaculate, the staff is friendly, the prices are remarkable, and the food is delicious. If you’re a fan of old school diners, you should not miss this one. Just look at those burgers! Char-grilled to perfection!

Dined here twice while in the area for work. The food ranged from decent to barely edible. 1st night: the Greek platter was all your typical Greek favorites on one plate (moussaka, gyro, grilled chicken, spinach pie, cheese pie, salad), and it was all good except for the rock-hard pita. A TON of food, easily two meals. I had the lobster bisque before that which was sort of a joke – thin “fishy” tasting broth with chunks of imitation crab…I guess that’s on me for ordering such a thing at a diner. If you’re looking for something light and refreshing I DO NOT recommend a smoothie – mine came from a pre-packaged mix with no trace of fresh fruit and was loaded with sugar and likely dairy such as ice cream. The carrot cake was a little dense and dry, but an acceptable dessert (massive portion, too. Good for 2 desserts). Night 2 I started with the chicken soup which was acceptable but not outstanding. I had the Chicken Rossini for dinner, and this is where things got really weird. You would think that chicken with plum tomatoes, eggplant, and mozzarella cheese would have an Italian flavor, but this tasted bizarrely sweet and fruity, almost like pineapple. It was also very likely microwaved, as the center was cool while the edges were very hot. My side of cauliflower and cheese was 95% cheese sauce, so I just dipped my fries (acceptable, nothing extraordinary) in it. For dessert I had the chocolate fudge cake which was very dry and pretty awful, but I got some down with the ice cream I asked for. Main takeaways: when you look at the massive menu with all the options you may find yourself wondering how they cover such a wide variety of foods. The answer: not very well. It’s hit and miss, and you might be better off sticking to the diner standards like hamburgers. For dessert, I would recommend a milkshake as the ice cream wasn’t bad and the cakes were either so-so or unpleasant. The portions are massive and the prices are very low, so if you are looking to stretch your dollar, this might be a good option (as long as you don’t expect culinary excellence)

Went out for lunch, wasn’t planning on going to the diner but figured we check it out when passing by. Everything was great, food and service. You can usually tell a place by the bathroom, if that is kept up you know the kitchen is too. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Staff is amazing, they are always nice and attentive. They are very efficient and helpful when needed.

Breakfast here is one of the best around. It gets busy because it’s a very popular diner. They will give you a 15 minute wait but takes much less. Worth the wait if you you do ever come at the same time as 10 people or so.

Breakfast menu has all the basics at reasonable prices.

Lunch items are great. All the panini grill is great. A must try.
