We had den butt and salmon , the salmon came with perfectly baked potato wedges (very crisp and not burned) and veggies. Der butt came with cucumber potato salad and salad and bacon!!! Both plates were very delicious (ein schmaus). The view of the Sea was very nice , well worth the trip.

P.S. We got lucky walking in at the right time. And catching the last available table before witnessing other spontaneous guests being turned away, so a reservation might be recommended.

I have to admit that I was a bit taken aback by the name of this restaurant. While researching it I didn’t really find it too appealing. Still, when we first went there, the food was excellent. They have classic fare like the fantastic Labskaus as well as more fancy options. So we kept coming back. This is a spot that fills up rapidly on weekends, so if you know that you want to come here it’s best to reserve a table. Otherwise you might get turned away. In summer, outdoor seating is available. In winter, you can cozy up inside. If you need cellphone reception: this is a bunker. If you are too far away from the windows you will not have a signal.

In general I really enjoyed this place!
The food was great, super tasty fish. The service is friendly. The portions had a decent size, and were priced accordingly. Not the cheapest place, but still ok (especially for the location). Overall I give five stars.
However, they have a dress code for entering the restaurant. They did not accept me the way I am, because I’m always without shoes. According to the staff, it is maybe because of hygiene. Seems like a weird policy to me, because my feet have the same dirt on them as shoes + I wash them daily. Also, dogs are allowed in here (which is ok for me), and I’m sure it’s less hygienic to have dogs in a restaurant (with an open kitchen), than being barefoot.
That’s why I have to take away one star, as this made the atmosphere a bit less hostile. Therefore I’m rating this place with four stars, and I’d love to come back one day – if they accept people how they are.

Great food at decent prices. Always friendly staff. Local products are definitely a bonus including pork from a local organic farm and fish from a smoker/fishery nearby. A few great vegan options for both kids and adults. Wish they would add more! 😉 We come here often when we have friends in town. There’s always something for everyone on the menu and the name gets some giggles.
